It was the second time Tonks had been to the place, but this time she didn't attempt anything that could legally be counted as Breaking and Entering. For one, Tonks knew front doors had to have uses, and for two, one Remus Lupin had some disturbingly good aim and a wand arm that could put half the Aurors she knew to shame. She'd heard of him from Sirius and Lily, knew he'd fought with the old Order of the Phoenix, and some part of her wondered why he didn't pursue a career in MLE himself. Who else could boast knocking out an Auror on first glance? Either way, she wasn't going to attempt startling the man any time soon. And this time she wasn't here for fun and games.
Tonks stood in front of the door to the flat Remus shared with her cousin and found herself hesitating. Her situation was suddenly a little.. Humbling. Investigating the disappearance of a member of the Order of the Phoenix and being called to aid by another Order member. It was almost as unreal as everything that had happened so far. The Auror shook her head. She could fangirl later, this was serious. Taking a deep breath, Tonks reached up and knocked on the door, trying to fight back a smile as she wondered if she should duck before Lupin got another chance to knock her out.
