"I'm not sure, Harry. I've been shut out of the details with-in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. They're afraid I'd take the case too personally. That I might screw something up with my emotions." Lily said, sharply. She was right pissed about that one-- it was her husband for gods sake! What was she supposed to do in the mean time, sit around and knit? They had told her to stay home, and she had refused. She knew if she pushed the limits anymore than that she'd loose her job. Though she didn't need it, she certainly enjoyed it for the most part.
"I suppose the better question is why? Why James?" she asked, more to herself than the other two in the room. She could see the emotions brewing on Harry's face, and she felt terrible for ruining the dance for him.
