Luna smiled. "They are exceptional creatures," she agreed, then nodded. "Yes, the baby is adorable. It's all tiny and still unsure on its legs, stumbling and falling all the time. It's really nice."

The Thestral pulled away then and walked back into the forest and Luna watched it walk away in silence.

She and Oliver started walking again then and she wrapped her arms around herself in the cool autumn breeze. "How long have you been out of Hogwarts then?" she asked, deciding to show some interest in Oliver too. "And you play Quidditch for one of those teams... I'm sorry, I never remember their names."

She smiled sheepishly and watched him as they walked.
