"Mora, then," Daphne mused. "Sounds much prettier." She kept a smile that was almost too sweet. As Mora sat down and began talking, Daphne decided to doodle in her journal, barely seeming to be listening.
After she had finished speaking, Daphne stopped and sighed lightly. "Well, then I guess after a few weeks in we can see who the 'committed' students are." Actually in the mood for small talk, she added, "I don't see why there aren't more students like you and I, who actually take the opportunities we're given here. Hogwarts isn't a summer camp, it's a place of education. Half of these ... other students won't get good jobs in our world." She very nearly said 'mudbloods' in place of a more generalized term, and was thankful she caught herself. She knew Morag was a pureblooded witch (their families had no doubt been in contact over the years), but then again so was Weasley and look at that group.
