Who: Frankie and Wes
When: Friday night
Where: her room
What: A DATE! And CHRISTMAS!
Green, check. Christmas, check. Chocolate, check. Frankie had all the ingredients. Sure, it was all confined to her dorm room, but she was on a budget. A very strict budget. It was nice though. A
warm winter wonderland that glittered and smelled delicious.
She'd hung the stockings with care over a cardboard cutout of a fireplace. It really was a shame it wasn't the real thing, but as far as Frankie knew, none of the dorm rooms had fireplaces, even though it would be a good idea for the fire users on campus. Still, the space heater kept the room cozy.
She'd cut out lots of paper snowflakes and hung them from the ceiling. Each one had been dipped in glitter so it shown brightly in the candlelight. Candles were essential. They made the world more magical, and wasn't that what Christmas was all about? It celebrated a miracle. It made people believe in the impossible and all that was
good in the world.
Presents were important too. Anyone who celebrated Christmas who claimed that gifts weren't important was flat out lying. So Frankie had gift wrapped about a dozen boxes filled with handmade chocolates that took her several days to whip up (what? she still had classes and work to worry about !). The presents were all arranged on a small dining table in the middle of the room. And they were surrounded by more candles.
It looked like quite the romantic and festive scene. Oh, she'd also 'borrowed' some plants from the greenhouse. Holly, mistletoe, and poinsettias. They were all lovely and they brought
green into the room.
But then came the most important part of all. SANTA! Every Christmas party needed a Santa, someone to bestow joy upon others. Good thing Frankie was a big fan of the holiday AND costumes. She also wasn't the least bit shy about her body, which was a good thing given
this particular costume.
With everything ready, Frankie simply waited for her date to arrive! Oh, while listening to some Christmas carols.
