Charlie was still angry with Ava, and he figured he might always be, but his rage had been quenched for the time being by killing her sire. Saul was primarily to blame for what happened to Maggie. Charlie knew that. But that didn't make it any easier to cope with the fact that she'd been turned against her will by Ava. Logic couldn't heal the hurt he felt. It also couldn't ease the pain now felt by the twins and his niece now that their bloodline had been severed.

Maggie wasn't in as much pain as Ava and Ana, but she did suffer, and she was growing more upset as the reality of her new lot in life settled in. After talking with Ava, he packed up some things for himself and Maggie, along with Cassius and Edelweiss, and the group headed over to Ava's campus apartment for a sleep over.

"You're not gonna fight more, are you?" Maggie asked as she dragged her feet. She felt somewhat weak.

"I can't promise that, Maggie."

"Can you try," she pleaded as she hugged Edelweiss' furry body to her chest.

Charlie nodded. "I can try. We're going over there because it will make you all feel better. I don't want them suffering any more than I want you suffering.. angry or not."

Maggie was quiet then, and she let Charlie knock on the door lightly when they arrived. Ava said the door would be open, so he turned the knob a second later and let Cassius run inside. The dog seemed to know that he was expected to be calm and quickly find a place to settle, so he did. He got comfortable on a rug under the dining table. Maggie didn't let go of Edelweiss. Now that the cat wasn't afraid of her anymore, she carried the furball around as a security blanket of sorts. "Go find Ava," Charlie told Maggie as he leaned in to kiss the top of her head and send her on his way. When she was off, he went to see Ana.

He found her in the spare room curled up in bed. "Hey," Charlie said softly as he sat on the edge of the bed and put his hand on her gently.

What: Ava walks in on the literally love sick pair.

Nox and Ana had actually passed out a few times over the course of twenty-four hours. Given they couldn't seem to stop having sex, not even for Nox to eat, it was surprising he hadn't fallen into some sort of coma! He'd gotten several drinks of water at least, just to stay hydrated, because Ana had fed on him a few times. But other than that, they stopped for next to nothing.

He'd lost count of just how many times they'd each climaxed, of which surfaces of her apartment they'd utilized, of the hour and date. It was all a blur. Nox could barely remember his own name right about now. All he could think about was Ana. She was not only the center of his universe, she was the universe. All of it.

Somehow they'd ended up on the kitchen floor. Had they come to get food? Maybe. Whip cream? Sounded more likely. Anything to keep this going. "I'm never leaving this apartment," he whispered in her ear as he thrust into her for what was surely the ten millionth time. His pace was slow and somewhat weak, because he was running on fumes at this point. The fatigue made it harder to process the world around him, so he'd not even heard the knock at the door or the latch releasing a few seconds later.

Coming up out of the tunnels and out into the sun, Ava ignored the funny looks she was getting, whether for the hair and eye color changes or the bruises now blooming around her neck. It was a plan gone very wrong. So what? It happened, she'd heal, it wasn't a big deal she told herself. She was probably well overdue for it.

For some reason though she really wanted Ana right now, not that she was shaken or anything, oh no, of course not, so she found herself wandering back to the staff apartments and over a couple of doors to her twin's place. Two short knocks and she waited, running her fingers through her hair and pulling a face at the mousy brown it was momentarily. She really needed to learn to control this thing...

What: drinks and talking

Charlie couldn't be in Ava's company these days. He was still far too angry. But Ana was different. They'd come to sorta like each other after all this time. They were by no means best friends, but there seemed to be a mutual respect between them. And, like it or not, he'd always care for her just like he'd always care for Ava.

It seemed like Ana needed a break, and Charlie needed to get off campus for a bit. Going out for drinks and talking about someone else's problems would hopefully do him some good. Well, if Ana was willing to talk. But even if not, she'd surely appreciate a night out that included free booze.

He got dressed, actually making an effort tonight, and then headed down to her apartment. Knocking on the door, he put his hands in his pockets and waited.

Where: her apartment
What: drinking!

Ana seemed to be down on herself and a little lost. She'd been keeping people at bay for so long, that it was difficult to cope with how close some of them had become recently. She wasn't ready to lose someone else she cared about, but it was a risk that was impossible to avoid. She needed to let go of those fears and simply enjoy the present. That's what Nox was trying to do. He knew he wouldn't have an eternity with Belle, but there would hopefully be many more happy years, and he planned to enjoy them all. Ana would have to learn to do the same thing. If her heart belonged to Adam, then so be it. It wasn't designed to last, but it was good right now, and that was what she needed to focus on.

But she could think about all that later. Right now, he was happy to provide a distraction. He understood what it was like. Nox couldn't say that he'd never turned to alcohol as an escape from reality. And human liquor just didn't do the trick. Ana was sure to appreciate the Hell liquor he had left over from the wedding. His father had brought several bottles. A few vanished with Hesper, but Nox kept some for himself. He carried one over to Ana's building and knocked lightly on her door.

Who: Charlie, Ana, and Adam
When: late Saturday (a little before midnight)
Where: Adam's campus apartment
What: Charlie brings a much needed cure.

The last few weeks had been absolute hell on Charlie. When the sickness set in, he'd thought it was just heartbreak finally catching up to him. Charlie wasn't exactly doing a great job of looking after himself without Ava in his life, and since Maggie was at school so much, and he was mostly unemployed, there wasn't much else to do but sit around feeling sorry for himself. But when Maggie called one evening and told him she wasn't feeling well and wanted to come home, he snapped out of his mood long enough to drive to the school. What happened when he arrived was totally unexpected. Maggie wasn't the only one feeling ill. Everyone was sick, well, everyone who shouldn't be sick was sick. And it hit Charlie fast. He just about collapsed as the virus latched on to him. While he was terrified about his own health, he was more worried about Maggie. Unsure what to do, he texted his brother for help. It was a bad move, even though humans couldn't be infected (something Charlie didn't know at the time), because once Lewis (along with William and Alicia) arrived at school, they were all stuck there. Quarantine.

Who: Ana and Adam

What: Something is terribly wrong.

Ever since learning of Ava's car accident, Ana hadn't felt like her normal self. The previous weekend she had stayed with Ava at Ric's house because she didn't want to leave her twin's side. Even though Ava escaped the accident with injuries that were easily fixed, Ana still couldn't shake the fear that was gripping at her insides. She was able to drive to be with her twin, but she was too scared to drive herself back to the campus. And that was where Adam came in. Ana had called him and he hitched a taxi to drive her and her car back to the school.

Most of the week was spent at his place, needing to feel that sense of security that he gave her. Ana couldn't help but recall how she had lost her parents and nearly her own life in a car accident all those years ago. And now, she could've lost her twin in one as well. Classes were attended to and routines were gone about as normal, but those thoughts remained in the back of her mind.

Throughout it all, Adam was understanding and Ana still found herself wondering if she deserved it. For the moment, she didn't complain. Instead, she was pretty much back to her usual self, which found her straddling Adam on his bed, kissing her way to his mouth while she unbuttoned his shirt. With her lips on his, a sudden wave of dizziness took over her which caused her to stop and put a hand up to her temple. Only mere seconds later, overwhelming nausea hit. Covering her mouth, Ana scrambled off him and sprinted into the bathroom where she threw back the toilet seat and proceeded to vomit.

What: Ana tries her best to cheer her favorite angel up on his birthday

There were very few people in this world that Ana cared about, but the few that did matter to her mattered a great deal. Will was included in that group so she couldn't stand it that he just wanted to sit around and do nothing on his birthday. Everytime she asked him what she could do to make things better, he came up with a solution that she just couldn't give him. It was horrible, but in her own way, she was still determined to get her friend out of his slump.

After signing off AIM, she grabbed her coat, slinging it on as she made her way out of her apartment and out of the staff housing building. The night air was cold, but the temperature didn't affect her like it would anyone else. One of the many perks of being a vampire. Black leather ankle boots clicked along the pavement as she made her way to the main building that housed the student dorms. It was odd being back in this section of the campus. She could hardly believe she had lived here before.

Making her way into the correct wing, she was soon in front of Will's door, knocking as she waited for him to answer.

It was still quite surprising to Ana that Adam decided all on his own to splurge on a night out for her and Will. Especially after what happened between her and the angel, she didn't think Adam would go this far to show that he was alright with their friendship and trusted her not to push the boundaries in that way again.

Clad in a purple top, black dress pants, and ankle boots, Ana pulled on her jacket as she walked out of her building, smiling as she saw Will standing by the car Adam had hired for them. "All ready for our night of adventure?"

So much for trying to calm himself down from Ana's many many naughty photographs. She looked... good. And he'd been reading their highly explicit conversations from when they were apparently together later on in life. It was weird. Like reading some really cool porn but realising he'd written it. Ana seemed to be a really nice but weird girl and though Adam wasn't scared of much, he was a little nervous about her coming over. Maybe the idea of taking photographs of her had backfired, since she wanted to snap him too. He'd confessed of his virginity and now he felt really really stupid.

He wasn't as suave or confident as this adult Adam he'd been reading but he'd give it a damn good try. As soon as he heard the knock he flattened his hair and strolled as tall as he could to answer the door.

Who: Starbuck, Ava, and Ana
When: Thursday (probably noonish?)
Where: Ana's apartment
What: checking in on the teenage twins

Starbuck went to Ava's apartment first, because he was actually friends with her, and it was closer to his own apartment. But after several minutes of knocking with no reply, he decided to head over to Ana's place. Along the way, Starbuck kept an eye open for anyone who was like Godric.. looked familiar, like the could be related to someone he knew.. just in case he had to explain this crazy situation to another person. But he didn't bump into anyone. Perhaps some people were so scared, they'd just decided to stay locked in their rooms. Good plan.

When he got to Ana's place, Starbuck knocked again. He didn't hear any sort of response at first, so he called out, "Ana? Ava? It's Starbuck.. you don't remember me.. but I'm a friend." Based on what Cissy had told him, it sounded like the twins were confused, and that Charlie had been with them. Confused likely meant that he'd tried to explain what was going on. Hopefully, Starbuck wouldn't have to start from scratch with them.

What: Charlie sucks at saying goodbye

He couldn’t explain it, but Charlie felt something tighten around his heart as he ran along the sidewalk. Nearly tripping from the sensation, he came to a halt and looked around in every direction, holding his hand to his chest. Something was wrong. Immediately, his thoughts went to Maggie. Charlie didn’t hesitate in pulling out his phone to call his brother. But after a short conversation filled with, “Are you sure?” type questions, Charlie was convinced that nothing was wrong with his niece or the rest of his family. That only left one other person: Ava.

Charlie tried calling her as well, but the calls kept going to voicemail. He was walking at first, but as the third call failed to reach something other than a recording, Charlie started running again. There was nothing leisurely about his pace. Charlie flat out sprinted back to campus. Why had he traveled so far tonight? He had a lot on his mind, but he shouldn’t have run several miles away from home. Something was wrong, and he couldn’t get back to the apartment fast enough.

Being a vampire, he didn’t get winded, but he was certainly frantic as he barged into the home he still shared with Ava. “What’s wrong?” he called out as he searched the apartment for her. “Are you okay?”

Where: Houston, Texas
What: Paying a visit to Adam's sick dad.

For the past couple of days, Ana felt completely on edge. Everything felt out of her control and she absolutely abhorred that feeling. Between trying to be supportive of Ava, arguing with Charlie not once, but twice, being a bitch to Will and snipping at Nox, she was barely holding herself together. It had at least been a relief that Ric helped her with the class last night since Ava was absent because Ana wasn't sure she could handle it herself at the moment.

Though the reason she was going to Texas with Adam wasn't a happy one, she was still glad to get away from the school for a while. The nighttime plane ride from Boston to Houston had been smooth though she noticed Adam was on edge, probably because it was his first time on a commercial flight. He was so used to being the one flying the planes, not just being a passenger.

The day was spent in the hotel by the airport, but once the sun set, they headed off towards Adam's old home. Ana had somewhat splurged on the rental car and had gotten a BMW convertible whose top was currently down as they drove along the highway. Every now and then she glanced over at Adam, wondering how he must be feeling to see his father again after all these years. "Are you doing alright?"

It was a cold night, but the sky was clear without a threat of snow. Nox wouldn't have minded. He liked snow, and it would have been a beautiful sight to behold from within the massive glass room. Still, the twinkle lights on the bare trees that adorned the courtyard were lovely. They added a touch of magic that would have otherwise been missing.
