The seizure had pushed her back into the recesses of her mind, but even from there Ava was able to get through to her. Ana could hear and feel her twin’s presence though it felt clouded, muddled by everything else. It was so difficult to push through, but then she heard Adam’s smooth baritone and the fog began to lift even more.
Ana’s eyes fluttered open slowly and she groaned, her head still reeling from whatever it was that had happened. “What happened?” she croaked out, her eyes now fully open. Her eyes moved from Ava to Adam as they knelt above her and the realization of everything that she’d done and everything that had happened came crashing into her. “Oh God...” she covered her mouth and then her face, unable to look at either of them in the eye. She had slept with Nox, but it wasn’t her doing. He had been right about the curse. And now she had to deal with the consequences of breaking Adam’s heart.

Every second they waited seemed like forever to Ava, so it would be down to Adam to make sure they did what was right and in the right time. Luckily they didn’t have to wait all that long though and she let out the biggest sigh of relief ever at seeing Ana’s eyes open again. That relief even outweighed her thinking about the fact it had apparently broken the stupid spell. At first anyway. There was no escaping it as she saw how distraught her twin was knowing what she had just done to Adam. Normally she would probably leave them alone to talk, but there was no way she was leaving her right now. “It’s ok... you’re alive, that’s all that matters.” She soothed, even if that wasn’t technically true...

Ana was awake and she was apparently distressed but Adam didn’t recognise it as being guilt. He thought he saw a flicker of the woman he loved, an expression of someone he recognised so clearly, but he pushed that away. She loved Nox, not him. She’d been fucking him for two days without a word, on a whim, behind his back and had told him like he meant nothing. While a part of him was glad she was safe, another part was only relieved so she could get the hell out.
He stood silently, glancing at Ava before he turned and headed further into his apartment.
