Since most people talked to Godric instead of listened, he had not expected Riley to ever inquire about his unusual behaviour, and he was genuinely surprised when the other gentleman did. Raising his eyebrows a bit in surprise, Godric poured himself another shot before settling on a response. "I'm hiding," he admitted, a bit sheepishly. "There are too many people in my house right now, too many things to think about and I didn't want any of them asking me what was the matter. So, I stayed at work." Shrugging, he debated tossing down the drink he'd poured himself, then proceeded to do it regardless. "One of them is like a brother to me, and I honestly do not know what to do about him. Part of me is furious with him for things he's done, for letting himself get tangled up in a mess that anyone else could see coming from miles away." Giving Riley a subtle sideways glance, the vampire continued. "But he is family to me, and I suppose that counts for a great deal."
