Who: Fox and Emmy
Where: Employee lot then around
When: Afternoon
What: Meeting up and going for a ride!

Fox had been pretty certain he'd seen Emmaline around before, but he'd never talked to her. At least, not that he could remember. A chick from Australia that dug motorcycles he was sure he'd remember. Hell, what did she like to be called? He doubted it was Emmaline, though that's what her journal said her name was. Probably something shorter. Em? Emma? Emmy? Damn. It looked like he'd either have to ask or avoid saying her name. Which wasn't all that hard, though it would be awkward calling out "hey you" to someone you were talking to.

Logging off his computer, he slipped into his boots and a jacket, having actually worn a shirt for once in his room. Wallet, phone and keys went into the respective pockets and Fox remembered to pick up the second set for - Emmy? - to use. Helmets were the last thing he grabbed before heading out, locking the door behind him. It didn't take him long to make it to the employee parking lot and uncover his bikes. He looked between the two, trying to decide which he'd rather ride. His beautiful V-Star or the sexy custom bike that he'd bought from Charlie. Decisions, decisions. Hearing shoes on the pavement, Fox turned and flashed a smile as his companion for the afternoon arrived. "Hey there."

Emmy knew how to dress for the occasion - okay so maybe it wasn't too safe but that was what the helmet was for and she had her leather jacket with her just in case. She had no idea what this dude looked like but he seemed damn fun! Bikes, speed... just what she needed. As soon as she was ready she sauntered her way down towards the employee lot where Fox had arranged to meet her.

Brightly waving at him, she thought she'd give him a bit of authentic Aussie. "G'day," she chuckled, beginning to skip over. "These are beauties... know which one you're gonna ride today?" She had no shame which was why she started bouncing around him like an excited kid. "Need for speed, mate!"

Fox couldn't help it, he grinned and broadly. The accent and the bouncyness was pretty effing cute. Must be Frankie wearing off on him and getting him used to the enthusiasm. "Actually, yeah." Reaching into his pocket, he tossed her a set of keys. "I'm riding the custom. Checking her out more. You get the Yamaha." He added a stern glare as he passed over the helmet. "You be good to my baby." In truth, he wasn't too worried. She looked like she could handle it, and sounded like she knew what she was talking about. Plus, he'd be right there. Not much could happen, right?

Sliding his own helmet on, he moved over to the chopper and straddled it, waiting to see if she had anything else to say before he started the engine.

Waah! She got the gorgeous bike! The Yahama supreme! Emmy tried to stop grinning or hold back her true feelings but she couldn't help it. After a split second, when he turned away briefly, Emmy did a silent whoop of joy and a wiggle before he faced her again - hopefully he hadn't seen and she'd played it cool enough, mounting the bike as soon as she had the helmet in her hands.

"I swear I will not hurt your precious." With an innocent pout enough to rival the cutest baby she crossed her heart and then popped the helmet over her head to disguise the wicked grin. She was damn well gonna test this baby, that was for sure and to show she was ready she revved up his engine.

Fox flipped his visor down to hide his grin and shook his head, having caught the tail end of that little victory dance of hers. Good thing he was up for speed because he just knew she was going to try and push the bike's limits. Answering the bike with a rev of Bettie's own engine, Fox flipped up the kickstand and pealed out of the parking lot, pretty sure Emmy would stay close behind.

At the first intersection past the gate, Fox headed north into an area he'd found on his wanderings with beautiful landscaping and open roads. It was hard to find around here. Midwest was better for really testing a bike, but this particular stretch had enough curves to really see how a baby could handle, and enough straight patches to put the spurs to her. Once again, Fox was actually happy. A solid engine vibrating between his legs, pavement speeding past under his feet and open country ahead of him. He wanted so badly just to keep going.

The bike handled like a dream on wheels. There was absolutely nothing better than feeling free, as Fox was experiencing right now. Following him like a greyhound followed the rabbit on a racetrack, Emmy sped on behind him. She wished he'd go fucking faster, there was track to burn and miles to kill!

After she was left feeling impatient - once again - Emmy took their ride into her own hands. She was never good at obeying for long periods of time. As soon as the space was open and free enough for her to overtake Emmy cranked up the engine and sped to Fox's side, meeting him in the middle before she teased him with a little spurt infront.

Apparently going seventy on back roads wasn't fast enough for Emmy. Thankfully, it wasn't fast enough for Fox, either. The only reason he'd kept his speed down was to keep an eye out for cops and let her get used to his baby. Speeding up to catch up, he let her lead for awhile, not really caring where they were going.

Fox made a mental note to chide Charlie for being an idiot, giving up a bike like this. It was smoother than a hot knife through butter, handling as well as his first bike. Glancing up at the road ahead, he saw a curve coming round and grinned, gunning his engine to pass Emmy on the inside.

What a bitch! Emmy cursed underneath her breath, which was coming a little bit faster from the adrenaline, and tried to compete with Fox a little bit more. The bike was falling behind Fox's new baby but that didn't mean anything apart from the fact that Emmy wasn't handling her right. It wasn't long until she met him at his side again, motioning for him to slow down. She needed a rest and some water. Panting was taking it out of her.

Fox grinned as he passed Emmy, though she couldn't see that through his helmet. Nodding as she came up alongside him, he slowed his own speed, pulling off to the side of the road to see just what she wanted. The engine he left running in case she wanted to take off again, but he slid off his helmet, waiting for her to talk with a happy smile on his face. Damn, but he'd missed just riding.

As soon as they stopped Emmy killed the engine, taking off the helmet and stepping off the bike after she was sure it was secure. When he took his helmet off she grinned. He looked flushed but then so did she. "I needed a drink," she explained, without even being asked. She had it in her bag, which was tangled around her and she fished inside it. "Want some?"

Nodding, Fox killed his own engine, setting the kickstand and climbed off. "Yeah. Water would be good." Taking a glance around at the scenery, he tried to figure out where they were. Too far north for Boston. "I think there's a town about ten, twenty miles up the road. Restaurants if you're hungry." He didn't really care either way, since there were streets to go around civilization.

Emmy downed about half the bottle before she handed it over to Fox, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. The wind was harsh around here, but not as harsh as Australia. The sand around there was enough to scrape your skin off if you went at speed especially in the harsh heat of summer. It was much easier to deal with here. At the mention of food Emmy merely put her hands on her hips and shook her head. "Nah, not yet. Besides we could cover that in two seconds the way we were going."

She grinned at him. He was kinda cute. It was only now she realised they hadn't been properly introduced. "Better late than never - I'm Emmy, by the way."

Taking the bottle, he had an easy sip, nodding at her comment. Going as fast as they were, it would've taken mere moments for them to cover twenty miles and reach the town. So food could wait. He nearly laughed into the bottle when she introduced herself. Wiping the water that dribbled onto his chin with his sleeve, he smiled. "Fox. That beautiful darling you're riding is Gypsy Rose and this angel here is Bettie." Since they were giving introductions, he would've felt remiss in his duties for not introducing the bikes.

Finishing off the bottle of water, he passed it back to Emmy, taking a moment while she looked around to look her over. Really cute. Great ass, legs and she certainly knew how to ride. Which begged the question. "So how is it that I hadn't run into you before?"

He'd better not forget her long legs which wrapped around his beast of a machine as he accepted the bottle back. Emmy pet the seat she was only half straddling. "Gypsy Rose... gorgeous name. I never got to name the bikes back home it was just the blue one or the red one to everyone involved." Gypsy was lovely, easy to handle, obeyed every twitch and whisker Emmy wanted. She was a good bike why the hell he was giving her up she'd never know.

With a shrug Emmy took another sip. "I've been laying low. Sussing out the place. Here with my sister, supposed to be sort of 'behaving responsibly' - " - she even did the air quotes - "according to the 'rents but as it goes, what they don't know...."

Had Emmy known Fox had a girlfriend she'd have.... behaved exactly the way she was doing right now to be honest. She saw no harm in flirting had done so all her life. Which could be an argument for having a kid so young but still. She honestly didn't care. Grabbing her helmet back she grinned at him before she popped it on over her head. "I do. Take me to the nearest food supply."

As soon as Fox was off Emmy followed, making no attempt to overtake him. She was just enjoying the ride this time. Once the diner was in sight she slowed in anticipation of their stopping,

Fox sped off down the highway at just under their earlier neck-breaking pace. He was hungry, but he knew that heading into the town there were a couple pigs that liked to hide behind the trees with their radar guns. About five miles outside the town, he slowed even more to the speed limit. Tickets were not his favorite thing to get, she he avoided them when at all possible.

A couple miles further and there was an older diner with a gravel lot on the righthand side. He pulled in and parked, shutting off the engine and pocketing the keys. Already he could smell the grease from fries and thick burgers, melting cheese and the low chatter of conversation over the buzz from milkshake blenders. The all-American meal sounded real good.

Being a gentlemanly sort, since Frankie was kicking his ass when he wasn't, Fox held open the door for Emmy and let the waitress lead them to a booth. Hot damn, it smelled good and made his stomach rumble. He was hungry.

This place was pretty radical. She stepped into the diner grinning and looking around. She'd not been in a properly authentic american diner yet, out in the middle of nowhere. Just the chains and the set up ones with no natural aura of greasy meals or strong cups of coffee.

Taking a seat opposite Fox Emmy started tapping out a rhythmn on the table until she couldn't take in any more atmosphere she grabbed at the menu and looked over at what was on offer. She already knew what she was going to ask for though. "Burger and fries, and a milkshake. Vanilla." With a nod of her head that was settled. "Should be five bucks for you."

Fox chuckled softly as Emmy walked in. She seemed to be practically enthralled with the diner and it was pretty funny to see. While she looked around, he settled into the booth, and flipped open the menu. Burger and fries were definitely what he wanted, but something more than a cheeseburger. Bingo.

Glancing up at the waitress, who was poised with her pen, he waited until Emmy gave her order before giving his own. "Mushroom Swiss burger, cheddar bacon fries and a chocolate milkshake. Super thick." It was a ton of calories, but he didn't care. Yippee for a high metabolism and constant visits to the gym.

After she left, Fox took the time to glance around. There weren't many people in at the moment. A few older guys up at the bar on swivel stools, a few couples in booths and a loner at one of the tables, reading a newspaper with his cup of coffee. Looked like he and Emmy were the youngest ones in the joint other than the help. Fun.

"Your stomach must be terrified of you," Emmy laughed once she had gotten over the surprise of him ordering such a huge meal. Or at least she was a little impressed. That amount of food in his guts would probably be sucked or trained back out of him. Emmy had a high metabolism too and she didn't even need to work out. Score.

"So you know why I'm dumped in that vacant, cavernous place," she said matter of factly, beginning to play with a napkin. "What about you, Biker boy?"

Fox grinned wickedly at Emmy. "My stomach can handle it." It wasn't that Fox needed to work out. It was, oddly, that he liked to. Staying fit, trim and strong came in handy in bar fights he found. And just doing laps around the campus was nice in case he ever needed to hightail it out of some place. It was weird for him that he hadn't gotten into a fight in a few months. Maybe that's why he was so itchy lately. He needed to break someone's nose for the hell of it.

Speaking of noses, his own crinkled at the question. "Angel spawn," he muttered, turning his attention to the mini jukebox at the end of their table. "You got any preferences for tunes?" Yeah, so it was a deliberate change in conversation, but what did he care?

Emmy could tell when someone was deflecting or just clamming up. She did it often enough but was definitely better at it than Fox was. Giving him this one for now, the girl smirked and crossed her arms, leaning on the table, the paper swan she'd just made sitting in the middle. "Give me anything apart from YMCA. Or country." Not to be disrespectful to the US of A's home music but she really didn't want to listen to that.

"So fess up, Foxy. I told you something personal about my daughter. You tell me why it is you get this angry look on your face when you tell me what you are." Not that she even understood what angel spawn was meant to mean.

He knew that he wasn't being subtle. The point he wanted to make was he didn't want to talk about it, and she seemed to get it. Flipping through the offerings on the music box, he dropped in a quarter and programmed Rolling Stones "Paint it Black". Turning back, he had a smile on his face, until she decided to bring up heritage again. Apparently he wasn't obvious enough.

"Angry look?" And here he thought a nose crinkling was more of a disgusted look. Seriously, who the fuck got turned on by an angel? Or believed that someone who liked to cause trouble was part holy? The idea was more ludicrous than anything.

Emmy leaned across the table towards him, still on her arms. "Yeah 'dude'. You may have your cute as a button face on saying that you don't want to give your inner whatevers to a stranger but... I just gave away my secret like a lummox. Your angel heritage isn't anything to be ashamed of. Doesn't define you you just are who you are... to be fair I don't even know what angel spawn is but it sounds cool."

She glanced at the stereo then back at him, a smirk on her lips. "If I praise your choice of song will you at least give me a little bit?"

Fox leaned back in his seat, considering. At least she wasn't laughing from hearing what he was. Hell, he'd only known about six months or so anyways. He didn't know what all being a fucking half-breed meant. "Yeah, I just might."

Being nice, he didn't even wait for the praise. "Angel spawn is the ruder way of saying I'm a half breed. My mom was an angel and my dad was a no good two-bit-" he broke off grumbling. Thinking of Chase wasn't good for him right now. Fox didn't even think of the man who would beat him as his father. Chase Wiley was nothing more than a sperm donor. "Anyways. I don't have wings or a halo and hope to Hell I never do." He turned to flash a falsely confident smile. "I don't think I'd look so great with a shimmer over my head."

Emmy didn't react or shy away or even look disgusted. Hell she didn't seem confused when she was wondering how the hell an ANGEL could come down and make babies and - well obviously they could breed. Did they just populate down here or something? Questions not to ask him right now.

She recognised that smile though and she felt kinda bad for putting him on the spot. "Nobody necessarily likes where they come from," she mused. "I know I don't. Trick is to not let it beat you down or fuck you up or stop you doing what you wanna do in life. Breeze on, feel free... for example..."

Emmy got up from the booth, sidling around to the empty aisle space and began to dance a little to the song playing. It was just when Mick Jagger was wailing in the lead up to another verse about things being Black - she could never remember the words. "Joining me?"

Of all the people he'd told about his heritage, Fox liked Emmy's reaction best. Neutral, and brushed it aside. He wanted to open his mouth, tell her that he didn't let it fuck with him, hence the reason he did whatever he wanted. But that would have been lame, sounding like he was defending himself, and there was nothing really to say.

Shifting in his seat, he smirked, watching as her hips wiggled and twitched in time with the music. "Maybe in a minute." Yeah, he knew his gaze was fixed on her ass at the moment. He didn't care.
