Friday 1/4/08
Who: Arcelia and Theodore
Where: Theodore's room
When: Early afternoon
What: Belated presents.

Arcelia had a few hours rest after she returned to TJS before she went to Jeffrey's room to ask if he could watch over Caitlin for a while. He agreed and she thanked him, returning to her room without the baby to fetch Theodore's present. There were a couple of other items she had to bring and put them all into a cute flowery tote bag. She had to have entertainment somehow and THeodore was a nice one to tease. The nature party was to be exciting, no doubt, and she looked forward to playing with her boytoys (they weren't like that exactly, of course, but it was fun to call them that in her mind).

She knocked on the door and hummed a random song that popped into her mind as she waited the little while for him to open it. It revealed Theodore looking as good as ever, so Arc shone a cheery smile at him. "Hey, you," she said, slipping into his room and touching the strap of her tote bag with impatience. Surprises were so fun yet she wanted to get to them as quickly as possible. "Merry belated Christmas to you."

Pulling out the wrapped present from her bag, she handed it to him, obviously antsy. He better open it within the next couple of minutes or else she'd reach out and give him a hand with it. Arc was never going to win any prize for her patience.

Theodore had been surprised to find himself in conversation with Arcelia the other day. He hadn't been using the chat thing very much lately, as he found it pretty asinine, yet the thing had turned itself on automatically, and Theodore had been surprised by Arc's IM. The conversation had been anything but innocent, and but then Theodore was starting to learn that this girl was anything but innocent. She'd also mentioned a gift of sorts, which had left Theodore scrambling for something to give her in return. He wasn't sure why she'd want to give him a present considering that she didn't know him, but as Arcelia had now mentioned the fact twice he knew he'd need something.

When Arcelia arrived at his bedroom, Theodore walked over to the door and pulled it open. "Hello, luv," Theodore said, flashing her a smile. He stepped aside for Arcelia to enter before wishing her a Happy Christmas. He closed the door behind him as Arcelia pulled out the gift and he rescued hers from his desk.

As she handed over his gift, Theodore did the same, presenting her with a lovely small box. After ages of searching for something tasteful, not cheap and without hearts, Theodore finally settled on a acquamarine bracelet. Wrapped impeccably, Theodore had specially ordered the gift from London, to have it express delivered the night before.

"I hope you like it," he said as he unwrapped his present, not bothering to take care with the wrapping. Walking over to his desk, Theodore set the box on it, so as to be able to pull out the jacket. "Cheers, Arc. It looks great," he said as he pulled out the jacket and help it up, getting a better look at it.

Arcelia knew she was flirty, but she hoped her generosity made up for the lost kharma (if she believed in that, which was doubtful). She decided she'd show Theodore talking on AIM was good, even if it was just talking to her. He'd be social when he wanted to be social and he might bite her if she annoyed him. Not good, so she was careful. She could still have her cake and eat it too... with frosting.

After they wished each other belated happy times of the year, she brightened as he handed her a present as well. "You didn't have to get me anything," she said, "but thank you!" It was wrapped so well, it was almost a shame to open it, but she unwrapped it with care. A gorgeous bracelet?! He was worth keeping around for his good taste. "It's so beautiful! Thank you very much." Arc stood on tiptoe to kiss him on the cheek before she focused on his present.

"You needed something that reflects light and catches people's attention," she explained. "And it's from one of your first friends here, I hope, so it's extra special. Try it on!" She took the jacket from him to hold it out so he easily slid his arms through the sleeves. It looked fantastic on him and Arcelia had to get a picture of this. She retrieved her digital camera from her tote and snapped a photograph. "You looked hot, I couldn't help it." She grinned as she put the bracelet around her wrist. "The real question is, does it need a frosting finish?"

Theodore wasn't planning on biting Arcelia just yet, though he had to admit he was rather tempted. She was rather lovely, but following that other bloody mess, Theodore knew quite well not to try anything. Indeed, he'd have to stick to the nasty school-provided nonsense for a short while at least.

"I know I didn't have to purchase you anything," Theodore said with a wide smile. "I wanted to, I do like spoiling my friends," he said, giving her a wink. as he watched her unwrap the gift, Theodore smiled. He did appreciate the look on her face, and it was true he liked to spoil his mates, it also helped that it tended to make the girls just that little more pliable.

At Arcelia's insistence, Theodore slid into the new jacket, and pulling it up over his broad shoulders, found himself laughing as Arcelia took his photo. "Oi you, I'm normally paid for my photograph," he said, giving the girl a playful wink. He chuckled at Arcelia's comment about frosting, eyeing her purse for a second. "Oh, I dunno, luv but I do think it would suit you so very well," he said, giving her a very wicked grin.

Granted, it was not hard to win her over, but she still liked being given gifts. He could do things to make her pliable all he wanted and it would work (which defeated the purpose of chasing a girl, oops, oh well). "Great minds think alike," Arc said and shone him a large smile. "Spoiling is so much fun. More people need to realize this."

She laughed at his reaction, smirking, and took another picture just to tease him a little bit more. "Sorry, Mr. Royalty, but friends don't get paid for their photographs. I'm lucky I got a shot of you smiling because something tells me you're too serious and aloof all the time." Arcelia saw him eying the back and knew she wasn't very far off from achieving a fun result from him. "I'm not convinced. If you ask nicely, I might let you prove it."

Arcelia held the tub of frosting in her hand, with any luck, in an enticing manner.
