who Ernie & Hannah. what He feels bad. when Night of 28 March. where Her flat. rating G? PG? Complete.
Ernie honestly didn’t know what to do with himself anymore. Currently his flat was being taken over by nymphomaniacs, and his other mate was pushing hard for something he wasn’t sure he could give her. Fortunately, Justin and Eloise were willing to let him stay with them. Unfortunately, most of what he spent his night doing, rather than sleeping, was staring up at the ceiling thinking. Thinking became dwelling and well the rest went from there.
Ernie had loved Hannah for as long as he could remember. He and Zacharias would spend their ‘boys nights’ talking about all sorts of shit with regard to Megan and Hannah. Of course, it was a bit different for Zach. Megan at least occasionally seemed receptive to him. Most times when Ernie showed interest in Hannah, when he tried to push past the boundaries of ‘friend zone’ he was put right back in his place. First with Harry, then other attempts at dating, then one-night shags from the bar and finally Seamus.
He honestly didn’t know what to do with her anymore. She blamed him saying that he was never willing, but had she opened her eyes, she’d have seen he was there all along waiting for her to stop being an idiot and be with him. Megan and Zach was all he heard about but the truth was, it wasn’t that simple and ‘Megan and Zach’ were still their own sort of nonsense and mess. They were just being nonsense and mess all over the apartment together.
Sighing, Ernie turned and looked at the clock. It was early, almost 3 in the morning and he still couldn’t get a god damn nights rest. Helga save him, this wasn’t going to work was it? He was just going to end up being the bad guy no matter what he did. The one who treated his mate like ‘dragon pox’ and it wasn’t like that at all. He didn’t want to take advantage of her when there was more going on. He was trying to be a good person – a good friend.
Sighing, Ernie stood up and grabbed his bag, leaving Justin and Eloise an apology and thank you note all in one. Once he set it down, he grabbed his bag and apparated out with a soft ‘pop’. Where did he appear? Where else? Hannah’s apartment. Dropping his bag in the empty space in the living room, Ernie sighed and kicked his shoes off before venturing into Hannah’s room.
It was late, obviously she was asleep but that didn’t change that he pulled his shirt off – leaving his lounge pants on, and crawled into bed next to her, pulling her against him as she slept. Helga save him, Hannah was going to be the death of him.
