Completion: complete
Daphne was in the back portion of the shop. She was thinking about a letter she had just received from her brother. He wanted her to return to France and marry like a proper witch. But Daphne refused to marry the man he wanted her too. Yes he was a decent fellow, but Daphne wasn't terribly excited about him. And she didn't need to marry for money, at least not yet. Daphne was doing just fine working and earning her living. Yes she missed the banquets for 200, the formal tea at 3 o'clock. But she didn't miss it enough to go back.
And she certainly wouldn't miss Ollivander. The outdated old codger had been nagging at her all day. Saying her techniques weren't the proper way to do it. Daphne was tempted to curse the moron and tell him she had lessons her whole life on the proper way of things, and she didn't need his help.
But she needed this job. No other wand shop would survive here in Diagon Alley, and a shop wouldn't do as well anywhere else.
Daphne restocked used and discarded wands as she sent a silent prayer to the gods. 'Please send my knight in shining armor any time now.'
Until that prayer was answered, Daphne was to have a headache because of Ollivander's nagging while she restocked the shelves.
Hearing the bell above the door go off, Daphne headed to the front of the store to help the customer.
