Subject: honey did you remember to pay your phone bill?

Oh and by the way I heard that there's traffic along Grand Central. You might want to avoid the area.

Thanks, I guess?

I have to admit, I'm a little confused.

Don't tell me you forgot about this inner department rivalry already? Maybe there IS merit to your road trip thing.

Well, nothing we can do about it either way, so don't make that face at me.

He's long gone, for the record. He was just a hitch-hiker.

They going to miss me much?

Shame. And here I thought you'd finally settle a bit.

Of course we will miss you. Who do you think you are, the Grinch? Alright, so the bosses have other business to deal with, but the lower echelons are quite intrigued. Can you believe the girl from accounting is telling wide and across that you've been kidnapped by a fairy?

Good! I hope that rumour spreads. I couldn't have come up with a better story myself.

No-one will miss me. They'll only miss my doughnuts. Someone else better continue my tradition of birthday cupcakes.

Well that someone else won't be me for sure.

Ah, such a low self-esteem for one so proud. Really, dear, can't we like you for your shining personality? Work will be duller now that you're away.

Well anyway you can thank the silly girl for the rumors. Mail her a brownie or something, she'd be ecstatic and forget she's on a diet.

My personality is anything but shining. Work will only be duller because everyone will have to do their own dirty work until they replace me.

I should mail her a brownie. That would really whip management into a frenzy, wouldn't it?

I can see the headlines now: 'Fairy Kidnaps Lab Rat, Bakes Brownies. Authorities stumped.'

Haha. Keep telling yourself that dear. Maybe one day we'll believe it too.

And yes, absolutely, management will flip. Especially since the lady will fight tooth and nail to have her keepsake. A regular heartbreaker, aren't you?

Me, a heartbreaker? I thought the cardiovascular trauma thing was more the docs' area of expertise.

Don't be obtuse on purpose. Even I know not to take that literally.

What would you rather I say? Philanderer? Libertine? You, my dear, have fervent admirers, and that is the honest truth whether you want to admit it or not.

On that note, shall I remind you that she always have a slice of lemon poppy seed cake on Friday mornings? Though triple chocolate fudge brownies have their own appeal...

You've misjudged me. I am no such thing. I am a curmudgeon that lives in a small apartment with 27 cats.

I'll send her something nice. It's not like it'll do anything to help them figure me out, anyway.

Perhaps I'll send Management a balloonagram. They need to lighten up a little.

Hmph. Very obviously we shall not convinced one another tonight. Stubborn as your cats, I see. You have found a guardian for them at least, I hope?

A baloonagram? What a swell idea. That I have to see. I can send you holo's of people's reaction, if you'd like.

I left them everything in my will. They'll be eating carviar and driving my Ferrari for the rest of their 9 (243 combined?) lives.

If you're serious, I'm serious.

You're just trying to discover where I send my balloonagrams and baked goods from, aren't you? Clever.

Tell me if they loooooooooooooove it.
