Hey guys, we have a new character, and an exciting one at that! Sly has brought us Malai, a Lightbender who is building a somewhat cult-like dojo for her school of Chibenders. Cue the in-game drama! Malai can be found at dancinglight, the friend adder has been updated accordingly!

It's Mari again and I've brought in Princess Xiu Mei of the Earth Kingdom. She's been causing her father a few headaches so has been sent away to spend some time with the Fire Nation royalty while he arranges a suitable marriage. She's looking to live a little before she has to settle down and will probably find herself in a great deal of trouble. She's at earthprincess, and welcomes any and all plottage.

Hey guys, Laurie has just brought us a new character, she is from the awesome crazy people who took over the Northern Air Temple, and she totally has The Mechanist's habit of blowing things up! Please meet Mine Michi, better known as Mimi, who can be found at er_whoops. She has some very fun lines to be filled and should bring a little excitement to the game. Friend's list has been updated!

Hello All, this is Mari here with a bit of news. I've decided to drop Tiriaq, not about the finger or any sort of lack of time on my part, he just wasn't working out for me. So if any of you would like to use Jason Momoa, he's a fantastic face for a Water Tribe member given the way some of them looked in the series, feel free to do so.

I also have to say how fantastic some of these icons for the mod journal really are, the makers really have to be commended for their talent.

Wanted to give you the heads up, Mari has broken a finger! This is making typing both difficult and painful for her, so she will likely be a bit slow to tag. She's not on a full hiatus, but she will not be up to her full activity potential. Send her some love and fast-healing thoughts!

Hi guys! This is Naida. She's originally from the Northern Water Tribe, married to Cheng, and is a 48 year old waterbending prodigy. She teaches healing at the waterbending academy and she's a member of the Order of the White Lotus.

Personality-wise, she's a very easygoing, maternal woman who's never lost her playful streak. She's serious about what needs to be taken seriously and takes everything else with a grain of salt.

Hey guys, we have another new face with another new character! Please welcome Amelia to the game. She will be bringing us a descendant of Toph, Hua, conveniently found at hua. She's bringing a lot of potential plot-lines with her, so give her app a quick glance over and give her a warm welcome.

With that, we will not be accepting any more Earthbender prodigies for the moment, but that can change as the game grows.

Hey gang, Elle has brought us another character, Issa of the Water Tribe! She's a bending master at the Waterbending Academe and can be found at ebbandflow. Our cast page is staring to look quite impressive!

Also, I've added character name tags for those who have posted in/started a thread. Please tag your threads to make my life a little easier and less insane. It's easy, when starting a thread you can type in your characters name into the little tag box, or once a thread is up, click "edit tags" button and type in or click and select from the list there. This makes activity checks super easy and also lets you guys keep track of your threads or stalk another character.

The threads thus far have been oh so awesome, so keep it up!

Edit: Editing so I don't flood the OOC page any more than necessary. XD I added this to the FAQ recently, and since threading has started I wanted to make sure everyone knew what it was.

What is the !bulletinboard tag for?
Awatan Sathit has a message board in the city center, near the fountain. This can be used for in-character requests. Need a tutor? Someone to pick up a shift? Lost your pet turtle-pup? Post up a wanted or missing ad here. This will be used to announce official events, such as festivals and plays, but characters/players are more than welcome to use it, as well.

Today's project is cleaning/revamping the Chibenders page a bit, so if anyone is thinking of a potential Chibender, things should be more clear and easier to navigate soon. :)

I'm curious to know many people here know of it / use it. I've found it can be useful for plottings, as well as for writing out scenes that you want to have the time to go back and edit posts in if you like before putting it to the main com.

Several of you have been prettying up your profiles and info pages, which is just great. I wanted to clarify, since there was some concern, you are free to add in any info you want, to re-organize info, etc. I ask for basic info in the application, I have zero issues with you adding, reorganizing or decorating things. And speaking of decorating, you are more than free to use the nation banners from the community, if your characters would like to show nation pride. I did draw all the symbols by hand, so not passing them off as your own would be super rad, but that's all I ask. :) They are each 600px wide (if using padding, you may need to set the table to wider to make them show up fully) and 60 tall. Also, you are free to remove the OOC portion of the application once you're accepted. If you want to leave it up that's just fine, but I'm certainly not going to ask you all to leave your contact info on public display. So, remove it entirely or relocate it to an F-locked journal at will.

So, as some of you may or may not know, I have intentionally left some of the details about the game somewhat fuzzy. This is because I sincerely want you all to help shape the game and build up the city. I'm a mod, just a humble guide to keep the game going, it's the players and the activity that makes a game come alive. So, since you all are the ones playing the game, I want your input on what we need and want in the game.

I've provided a few places, such as the Jasmine Dragon and the (as of yet unnamed) clothing shop, but the city is full of all sorts of different things. Have a hangout your character is demanding? Write up a little blurb about it, along the lines of what is here and I'll be happy to add it. Or just use this space to brainstorm with others about what places the city still needs.

Secondly, the city festivals are also going to be a big to-do. I've written up some very basic events for festivals and posted them here, but there's so much more to be added! Fall was the season of the Air Nomads, but as they are no more, it has become a celebration of the peace between the three remaining nations. It will eventually come to belong to the Chibenders, but that is well down the line. Since September 22nd will be the first day of Fall, there is going to be a week long festival in Awatan Sathit, running from Sept 21st until Sept 27th. As I said, I've put down some basic events, but this is your chance to have your character get festive and show off their talents. What do you want to do? What ideas would be fun for the community as a whole? Suggest, plot together, make demands, or just keep it in mind for when festival time grows closer.

You guys are awesome, I can't wait to see your ideas and suggestions. I know we're all hoping the game will start soon, one more character! So exciting!
