| Thanks to everyone who volunteered characters for this plot! The total count amounted to around 70, and we ended up mixing and matching characters in a variety of ways, including unrequited love (one-ways) and mutual love. The final list is below, categorized alphabetically for your sanity. Arrows (→) indicate the direction of the relationship; for example, "Betsy → Fred" indicates that Fred is Betsy's stalkee of choice. Accordingly, bi-directional arrows (↔) indicate mutual love. Every effort was made to ensure that each character was romantically linked to at least one other character. We hope you take this plot and run with it! |

O hi, Mutant Haven. :> Sooooo you might have noticed that I've been AWOL since the Christmas holidays; I got wholly swallowed up in January, but! Wade Wilson is now effectively my one active character. So I'm diving back into Mutant Haven & I'm gonna do some backdated writing to officially wrap up Misalliances for our mercs (lol I know). And let's say that Wade's been quiet because he spent some more time travelling and working after the Tolliver job. Alright? Alright.
ALSO, consider this a getting-back-in-touch, of sorts? If there are any interactions or connections you want to make with Wade, holler right now! I intend to be an even more present pain in your behind from now on, and drum up more interpersonal plot for him. :*

We're putting together some fun plot for everyone, set around Valentine's Day! A little bit like the power outage plot, your character will need to be present in the hotel on the morning of the 13th to be involved. It will run from the 13th to the 15th for maximum posting/logging opportunity.
The plot will revolve around your characters being forced into falling in love with another character. Love poetry, cuddle sessions, pulling a Helga Pataki and dedicating creepy effigies in their closets—if your character would do it, go wild! To help us get a better idea of which pairings to throw together, please comment below with a list of characters you’d like involved, and those you’d like to leave out.
For novelty’s sake, pairings will not be assigned based on pre-existing romantic connections in-game. Although your character may not be assigned a counterpart you expected, efforts will be made to ensure there is some rhyme or reason behind the choice, and we hope you have fun with it!

Because it is the season and I am a fail, I didn’t get around to posting for Betsy’s fashion show! A belated narrative will be going up to cover it quickly, I’m going to say it was actually Monday night (21st), since I think that still works out for people who she’d invited who are going home for the holidays etc etc. Photos will have been released yesterday and then bigger/better ones and short backstage interviews with Betsy came out today!

Hello all!
My name's Mon (26, Canada, CST, masters student, file clerk for an engineering firm, stratford_girl, email mksymons at gmail) and I'm happy to be bringing Kevin Ellsworth, aka Freakshow, to the Paradise Hotel (And SaMo High School!)
Kevin's info is up here, but the short version:
Kevin is 17 and was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, where his parents worked as architects. When he manifested his monstrous shapeshifting during puberty, his parents decided to move out of the city and took jobs working for an NGO building schools in the interior of Africa where Kevin could have an easier time learning how to control his mutation away from a highly populated area.
Kevin learned how to control his dragon form but in one particular village when he was fifteen villagers began to spread rumors of sighting an evil creature around, and the stress of these rumors made it difficult for Kevin to control his mutations, so he began to shift into other monstrous forms without meaning to as he was sleeping. To try and keep his secret, he began sleeping out in the bush. After only a few nights of this, however, he awoke to find that villagers had created a mob and burned his parents inside their house, hoping this would get rid of the creature they felt had been created there by the evil outsiders.
Alone, Kevin used his dragon form to fly back to Johannesburg where he lived in a hostel and stole cars for a year until raising enough money for a plane ticket to LA, where he hoped to make a new start in a new country.
He stole cars in LA for a year before getting caught by the police, and the stress of his arrest had him shifting against his will again. When the cops noted this on the incident report, Tessa was alerted to Kevin's existence and after posting bail for him, he was brought to the hotel.
So yeah I think that's his story in a nutshell, he's just arriving at the hotel but when he's settled he's hoping to work as a mechanic, fixing cars and finishing school since he'd been homeschooled for several years. He's a pretty introverted guy who has a lot of trust issues, but he's terribly loyal when someone earns his respect and when he's comfortable with people he can be sarcastic and a lot more open than he is normally.
Anyway I'd love plots, friends, girlfriends (heh!), mentors, rivals, enemies, and all those lovely things with everyone!

Just a quick note so that y'all know! Before Marie-Ange went into her coma in April 2008, she used to get super crazy excited about the holiday season and planned parties (though this is the first time she'll be able to have it in the ballroom!). She missed last year (obviously, as she was in the hospital) and is kinda making up for it this year. So those who've been around long enough would know exactly the cheer she is trying to spread :D The end! |

He's an asshole.
He's in America thanks to his father's career, and doesn't like it. He doesn't know you, but he probably doesn't like you either.
Tessa found him via his searches through the internet about these 'local legends', and he's mildly offended there are people like him, especially here, oh and don't pull the 'just go back where you came from' crap, because he'll just get mad and wish he was home. He also does NOT dye his hair, you can thank his powers for that. He will not be staying at the hotel, he has a mansion, why would he sleep there? Ew.

Hey guys,
Just letting you know Regan will be joining the hotel, but not as Regan of course. She will be hanging around as a skin changing mutant, with sharp ass teeth who goes by Becca. She's not going to be staying over often (as Regan has a job as a hostess and quite likes her apartment), but she will be coming over occasionally and using the PDA's.
How? Well, since she has her own ability to block out psychic interference, it has proven to be helpful! She has also created illusions/memories of Becca's past in order to pass the brain scan. Don't worry, she's not here to harm anyone (...at least not yet) she's just here out of curiosity, she's spying for her own purposes really.
Becca is spunky, and trouble in some ways. She claims to hail from Forks, Washington and that she left in order to escape all the Twihards. She appears to be around 18. She was found by Momo.

Hey kids! With Thanksgiving over, Ali and Marie-Ange have spent the weekend decorating the hotel in some winter cheer. There are some wreaths, garland, snowflakes, and other various winter decorations (nothing religious) around the main areas/the hallways. And there is also some mistletoe! :D Where is the mistletoe you may ask? Why it is hanging in the elevator, in front of the reception desk, above the couch in the game room, in the kitchen, in the laundry room, and in the bottom stairwell for those who aren't lazy bums taking the elevator. Plenty of opportunities for stolen kisses here! Also, the two ladies are also planning a holiday party to take place in the ballroom when it gets closer to Christmas. That's it! Have fun! |

Before I go to my uncle's to eat my weight in pumpkin pie, I figured I would do my character introduction!
(This is Emma, BTW.)
And this is Karolina Dean, a.k.a. Lucy In the Sky! Unlike in the comics, she is a mutant and not an alien, thought she still has the rainbow on acid thing going on for her. Her parents are famous actors, but she doesn't like to talk about that. Umm. Overall, Karolina is pretty friendly, though she does tend to be oversensitive sometimes. She's really huge into the whole Going Green movement, goes to a private school, and some other stuff you can find here!
So yes! She'll be showing up sometime soon. And I need to stop thinking about stuffing and green beans. |

Hezy again with supposedly my final character :3
This is Eileen Harsaw! I'm not going to lie, she's horrible, she's mean and cantankerous and she probably hates most everyone right away. It's a complete defence mechanism, she had a really shitty upbringing and she doesn't like to get close to people buuuuut typically she's also a people person and likes to be part of a group so what she tends to do is latch onto people for a while, get in really into the group and then freak out and run because OH GOD SHE SUDDENLY CARES ABOUT YOU GUYS. Because of her mutation she can pretty much break in anywhere, shorting out electrics or controlling them (like unlocking computerised doors) and disrupting the nervous systems of people (>_> she accidentally killed her step-dad that way) and whatnot! So she gets by through stealing mostly.
Anyone who has spent time on the streets in the last three years would likely know this bitch, and actually she might be sort of fond if they've hung out. In her own way.
ANYWAY, I'm not tooootally sure how I'm getting her in with the hotel peeps yet, but I do want to do it pretty quickly, so hit me up with your ideas! BH kids give me plots, I've never played a BHer before! Her profile is here! Please don't forget to add her :D |

Heeeey everybody. I'm pretty sure a lot of you, if not all of you, are pretty aware of my decline on interaction with characters lately and all-out vanishing for chunks of time. It's been a tough year and this fall hasn't given me a lot of time to dedicate to online hobbies. As a result, I've lost a lot of drive and headvoice for some and it's taken a toll on my activity here. Which sucks, and I'm sorry it took me this long to realise it. It has been fun, I enjoyed the game immensly, this incarnation and the original, but it's time for me to let others take over and enjoy without having to bother with wondering if I'll interact.
As for my characters, Emmeline is easily gone, and Jack pretty much went into a sober life somewhere, and Julian will be spending the holidays with family, so if he gets picked up it'll be an easy transfer back in.
I'll see you all around I'm sure,
