WHO Cora/Hera & Ethan/Odin
WHEN 1 April 2012 | early afternoon
WHERE Kingsgate Headquarters
WHAT Cora is looking for some funding for an idea but gets a little sidetracked.
She had been rolling around with this idea for quite some time and it had only been nerves that kept her from going anywhere with it; but as Hera gained more power and she was getting to know more people in the city her normal ambitious attitude began to return. She had always been the type to go for her goals, not let anything get in her way, except herself more often then not, and it was time to stop holding herself back. Hera agreed with it whole heartedly, the new clinic and research would mean more people would follow her, would respect her, and with that came even more power; something the goddess craved for. She had done some research on places to look for supporters, grants, and she planned to visit a few of them. However, she had not meant to visit Kingsgate quite when she did; she was out running errands and passed the building, a strange turn in her gut had her turning in to make an appointment. Only vaguely was she even aware of the power nearly oozing out of her as she talked with the receptionist; Hera was reacting to something and it sung through her pores. Cora would not have believed, and in fact been embarrassed and even nervous to know that the poor woman behind the counter thought she suddenly looked different, queenly. Her eyes were a hint wider, darker, her body suddenly more tall and lithe--elegant and regal though she had not changed her pose and certainly wasn't dressed as such. Hera was clearly determined to show off, not that Cora was even aware of it. Not even when the phone rang and the woman, agape, told her the CEO Ethan Kindle wanted to see her. If anything Cora was terrified, though it didn't show on her face. Why would the CEO of Kingsgate Trust want to see her, did he even know who she was? Still she nodded and worried over her cheap clothes and unprofessional appearance as she stood in the elevator. Wishing it was reflective so she could at least try and do something to look more put together. |
