It didn't take much for Jean to realize he had woken up. She honestly thought he'd be asleep longer, but she had learned to count her blessings when it came to the Professor. Getting him to take care of himself was like herding kittens. So she headed in as soon as she felt him reach out and raised a hand. "Don't you dare. You have only rested a few hours and you over exerted yourself in getting Laura back here as it is."
The look she shot him over her glasses was severe and an obvious warning. She might not win but she'd push if she had to in order to get him to relax. Her hair was half up and she had thrown her medical jacket on over her jeans and sweater earlier when she had been working in the lab. Grabbing a small glass of water and the pills out of her pocket she'd procured for him earlier she came to the bed and adjusted it for him to sit up a bit. "Here, this will help, and don't fight me on it Charles, you'd be doing the same if I was in your position."
Jean waited for him to take the pills before she started with the update she knew he was waiting for. "The students are all settled. Injuries were minor at best, thankfully. I allowed the children to have a sleepover in one of the larger common rooms. Some weren't voicing it but were uncomfortable sleeping alone in the dark. So late night movies and sleeping bags, crowded room, and they relaxed more. Forge and Warpath were pretty beat up and like someone else I know, they are stubborn on getting looked after, but will heal fine. There's been no sign of retaliation, I think they are too busy dealing with the base destruction and loss. I've already put in the call to Moira and the President. Laura is in confinement, Logan adjusted the security levels to make sure she wouldn't escape until we can help undo whatever was done."
With a sigh she pulled up a chair and sat next to him. She pulled off her glasses and cleaned them, "So, did I miss anything?"
