She tried not to take the flinching personally. She tried harder to not think on what they did to him. As soon as she did she could feel heat flood her face and her jaw tighten. Probably not a good thing to lose control right now. Jean heard her name and raised her head. His arms free she was working on his legs and tried for a smile, though it was weak. "Didn't think we'd leave you now did you Charles?" she answered softly.
Once he was at least no longer physically restrained she checked over the dampener they had put on him. "This, is going to hurt. Hold onto something." She didn't want to just rip it off, but it had to come off. Taking a steadying breathe she narrowed her eyes and concentrated on the electronic latch to get it off. As soon as it sprung free she grabbed it and tossed it away. "I have him Alex! I'll need to carry him out, he's weak, and hurt."
She bent to touch his face. "Charles? I need to move you, you have to tell me if anything is broken, if it hurts too much to move."
