Jean had her eyes closed. Trying hard to reach beyond the perimeter. Something was making it harder than it should be and even if she pushed, she couldn't find the Professor. Finally she sighed and let her mind come back to her. Tendrils of thought and feeling, slinking out of the fence, unseen, but felt. She always felt just a bit lighter, like she wasn't entirely in her own body, when she had to reach so far.
With a sigh she raised a hand and rubbed at her temple. "The students are under ground. Divided. Three sections. The largest two are for the kids but Julian, Laura, and Forge are together elsewhere. Farther away. I, I still can't reach the Professor at all, but I think it's a dampener. It's harder to reach anyone than it should be."
Biting her lower lip she looked around at the group, tried to make sure she had a 'lock' on their minds. "Communication is going to be difficult, I'll try and keep up a thread so I can relay between us."
