What: Christmas Party!
When: December 20th, 8pm-???
Where: Mandalay Bay Ballroom
Who: Everyone's invited!
Warnings: Hopefully none. It's Christmas!

Welcome to the Mandalay Bay Yule Ball!

In the back of the room you will find two massive tables, one laden with foods, mostly of the finger variety, and the other with drinks. There are a wide assortment of drinks, all non-alcoholic, on this table. There are Christmasy drinks like hot cider and eggnog. There are mocktails. There are sodas. In the very back of the room is an open bar, but they are carding, kids, so no funny business.

A live band will be performing and there is a large dance floor. They will do a mix of fast songs, slow songs, and Christmas Carols.

The party will last as long as there are still people there to enjoy it!

Steve found he quite liked socializing these days. Without the pressures the outside world placed on him at home, there was so much more time for the little things. He didn't so much feel like a man out of time anymore, he was simply a man. His small community needed him, though in limited ways for the moment, and he did hope it stayed that way, and that was all that really mattered. The day would likely come when he would find himself waking up in his own bed at home, and the fight would resume...it never really stopped for long...but until then he could rest. In a way.

He worked construction now. He watched television with Bucky. He kept an eye on the net for new people or people who needed help. Day by day, he was feeling more like just a man, and that was a good way to feel. It was a way he'd never been allowed to in his entire life. Too small, too poor, too weak...and then into this...symbol. Every day he lived that symbol to its fullest extent. It wasn't a mantle he put on. It was him. But, all the same, it was nice to be able to lean back in a comfortable chair and have a normal day. He would miss this when it was finally gone.

The Christmas party was one such normal day. In a way it reminded him of the old days. Big galas, beautiful women, a live band, dancing. Dancing...he glanced around wondering if Peggy might have come, and wondering if it would be appropriate or way beyond past due to ask her for a dance. His eyes instead fell on a new, though still familiar face, thus far scene only through his computer. He straightened his tie and made his way towards her.

"Commander."

All things considered, Natasha wasn't exactly a party person. Like any good spy she could play the part, but that didn't mean she liked it. She hadn't even wanted to come to the Yule Ball, since that meant dressing up and pretending everything was fine when she knew it wasn't. Still, Alexei had been insistent, so here she was.

Sipping from a hot cider, she allowed the warmth to overtake her, the music adding a nice touch of whimsy to the evening as a whole. Perhaps she could allow herself to relax a little, just for one evening.

Foggy still didn't really trust this place, not that ever ever thought he could. However, that wasn't going to stop him from trying to have a good time regardless of what weirdness might occur. Wandering around the ball, looking for someone to chat or dance with, Foggy was determined to have a good time.
