Love is the Law

Katherine came round last night and we had a girly night watching Twilight. and chatting about various fun things such as the appeal of vampires, why sparkling ones are the rage and the number of plot holes in Twilight, the movie.

Like me she felt the film improved on the book and was beautifully filmed. So next week we shall see New Moon.

The cats were very welcoming to Katherine, Misty-Maya even went and sat in the arm of her chair during the film and following her out to the hall when she took a phone call.

She brought Bucks Fizz and as she was driving only had a little. I ended up doing no writing as a result. Long V4C meeting, shopping and then I did a few hours work on the house. Was exhausted and barely closed the door on Katherine when fell asleep on the settee and woke groggy at midnight. Don't think will be hard to catch up today/tomorrow.

On Sunday when it was tipping it down, I had four of them come and stand around me as I sat reading on the settee and just stare. It wasn't kitty-food-time (though they have been known to gang up on me at random times of the day). Yesterday they were cranky over the weather situation as well. I'm not sure why because all they seem to do is sleep but I guess as usual it is the principle that they should be able to take a stroll around the garden without the inconvenience of wet paws and being dripped on by the sky or plants.

The only one who was not at all bothered is Stalks-by-Night, who just is oblivious to bad weather and seems never to mind getting wet. She's such a happy cat.

NaNoWriMo continues, I slipped a little behind Sunday and was very uninspired yesterday. However, I just felt with Katherine coming round for a DVD night (see wants to see Twilight) and other things on the books today that if I didn't get back on track I'd not be sailing over the finish line next Monday. I'd rather finish on Sunday if I can. Still I got inspired and got caught up and a few hundred words ahead. I do now have a beginning, middle and end but I am sure I can write further scenes and expand on the material I have which is sketchy in places.

Did my first word count verification of the NaNoWriMo website this evening. I really didn't think i was going to make my daily word count today but I got a brief second wind when I came upstairs and managed to complete a scene and just get a little higher than the suggested 35007 at this point. I do find having a NaNo themed wall paper on my desktop helps so much as does filling out the daily report card. It makes it all so manageable.

Woke up after about 4hours last night with bad cramps and then found once medication worked I could not get back to sleep properly. So spent a lot of the day feeling very rough indeed. Ended up going to bed with a book sort of expecting I'd fall asleep but didn't. Still lying down for a couple of hours did help.

I have not written for NaNoWriMo today though finished last night a few hundred words ahead of schedule. If I am in the mood before I get sleepy tonight I may do a few and then attack it tomorrow hopefully after a better night's sleep.
