It was late, and well-past time to quit and go inside, Roger knew this. Everything but his fingers were cold; the wind was unforgiving against his skin. Every sound but his own had all but silenced, and it seemed like he was alone in the world, in a makeshift wilderness. He liked that.
And Roger wouldn't move for the world because tonight, the music had come. It had come flowing right on back, right back into his mind and soul or whatever it was that did it, right into his fingers and from his fingers to his beloved guitar. It was a slightly melancholy peace, full of the beauty of the outside and observation, and he couldn't seem to stop playing, couldn't seem to stop the notes from pouring out.
It didn't have lyrics yet, but it might - soon. He sang the chord progressions quietly and experimentally as he played, trying to see if vocals would work in the piece.
He was completely lost in his own world.
