Who: Addi Sullivan & Isaac Sprackman
What: Isaac said he'd come out with the girls - no way is he getting out of it.
When: Saturday, February 7th; evening, before leaving for the club
Where: Isaac's hotel room, maybe Club NY?
Status: Thread | Incomplete

Adelaide felt like she barely had time to get dressed between text messages and people dropping by her and Dori's room. There was hair to be done, outfits to put on (and then take off, and then change and tweak and judge and so-on and so-forth!), perfume to test. It took... a long time. Especially with all the texting. Jenna and Matt, saying they'd meet them at the club, Leo confirming something, Emily going back and forth on whether or not she was going...

But there was no text from Isaac. And hadn't he said he was going? Addi remembered that he had, of course - and she wanted him to. He was quiet, extremely quiet. She'd been surprised that he'd agreed to come out with them at all, but pleased all at the same time. Pretty boys - and he was very definitely attractive - were always a welcome addition to any outing. And extrovert or no, Addi preferred dancing with the boys that she knew rather than the random strangers in NYC... especially considering that they were all sporting fake IDs, and that most of the men in the club would be too old for her.

She finished dressing and putting her hair and makeup on before she ventured out. With Dori's help, her wild locks were tamed into a classic chignon. Her own skill with makeup gave her dramatic eyes, perfect lips, defined cheeks. She left only her coat and clutch behind in the room - it was only a few doors down, after all. And she was just checking to make sure that he was going, making sure that he was ready, that he wouldn't require pleading. Not that she wasn't willing to plead. The coaxing, it would be for his own good, right? Right.

Addi donned a charming smile and knocked.

Isaac had just come out of a very relaxing hot shower, lost track of time and already decided that Addi Sullivan was Addi Sullivan and he couldn't possibly see why she'd want him to go with her and all the rest of those... Well, socially apt friends of hers to a club. So he wasn't ready. In fact, he was still sitting about quite comfortably on his bed without a shirt, damp hair and in the process of unwrapping a chocolate bar when he suddenly heard a knock on the door.

What on earth? Who would be dropping in to see him right at this hour? Wasn't everyone who was going out cleared out by now surely? Unless it was Michael come by to drag him along with them, no excuses to be heard. But even for their friendship, Isaac highly doubted he would comply. He could be stubborn too! Sometimes.

He extricated himself from his overly comfortable position with effort, crossed the room and opened the door about half-way.

Oh! was his first thought as his eyes fell upon Addi. He had a belated revelation that was proceeded by, Shit. "Hi," he offered uncertainly, peering out of the door cautiously, his hands between the door frame and the door handle itself.

There were a lot of things that Addi might have expected, not the least of which was to sweep him up in a whole lot of charm and sweetness and sort of steamroll him along with them to the club. She'd been spending a lot of time with Dori over the last couple of days, and when the two of them were together... well. They were best friends for a reason, and it was easy to get caught up in all that fabulous. And maybe Adelaide wasn't as much a diva as her BFF, but she was certainly no slouch when it came to being one of the popular girls.

Getting what she wanted sort of came with the territory - but at least Addi was nice about it.

A half-dressed Isaac answering the door wasn't anywhere on her list of Things That Might Happen Right Then. One of her eyebrows quirked, all her charm was momentarily forgotten. Honestly? She was a little too busy with an appraising sweep of her eyes. Hello, gorgeous boy... It took her a second to get those eyes back where they needed to be, and she couldn't quite manage the winning smile. That was gonna take a minute. Addi settled on that single raised eyebrow, a teasing little smirk - not mocking, because she was just too nice to be mocking - and resting her hands on her hips.

"So... I guess you're not quite ready yet?"

"Ready for?" he queried in his usual quiet tone as he stared out at her, unsure if she was really talking about clubbing - or... He couldn't actually think of what else she could possibly be referring to, but it was in his nature to second-guess such matters unconfidently on a frequent basis, and so here it cropped up yet again.

He felt uncomfortable as he noticed her gaze lower briefly. Why didn't he think to slip on a shirt before he opened the door? There was one sitting on his bed, for heaven's sake! Because he was idiot, clearly. Oh. And he hadn't really been expecting there to be a girl standing on the other side.

He realised that he was still blocking entrance to his room, and, calculating quickly that aside from the chocolate and slight untidiness, there was nothing overly embarrassing to be found in his room, opened the door wider and stepped aside so that she might enter. If she wished. Isaac hated to place obligations on people. Even in trivial matters such as thi

"For coming out with us," she finished without hesitation, and finally managed a look that wasn't so openly flirtatious. Raising both her brows helped considerably. That and... well, not staring at his chest, honestly. It was such a male thing to do - thinking of it that way helped her resist the urge. (But really, Isaac. Guh.)

When he stepped back, she dropped her hands to her side and accepted his invitation, casually strolling into the room - but only a little. Maybe Addi was a little on the oblivious side now and again, but she wasn't an idiot. This wasn't Matt, who was in and out of her room (and vice versa) on a fairly regular basis. And it wasn't Leo, who she was... very familiar with. He wasn't even Michael, who she flirted with shamelessly despite the complete lack of anything happening there. Isaac was quieter, he wasn't one of her showboat boys.

He required a different touch, so to speak. Addi leaned up against the wall beside the door, finding something else in the room to look at - just to give him a chance to put something on. Wasn't the carpet fascinating? Okay, no. But it would do. "It's getting late - you should hurry," she encouraged, tone light.

"Oh, so, I guess you still want me to come?" he asked a little redundantly. Well, yes, duh she wanted him to come if she'd bothered to show up to make sure he was ready. Jesus Christ, if he second-guessed himself once more within the next five seconds, he was going to literally deserve to be left behind.

And with that in mind, he suddenly decided that being left behind was in fact not okay, and that he actually did want to go. So he hurriedly grabbed his shirt off his bed and slipped it on whilst Addi was very kindly staring at the floor.

"I'm sorry," he interposed, doing up his buttons as quickly as his fingers could maneuver themselves. "Um, weird question, but... Have you seen my wallet?"

Adelaide glanced up long enough to give him an odd little look, then remembered that she was being polite and averted her eyes again. "Well, yes - of course? I asked you to come," she pointed out. And then she'd dropped by, unannounced, to make sure that he was still coming. And here she was, waiting in his hotel room while he put the rest of his clothes on, even going to all the trouble of not looking to ensure that he was, indeed, getting dressed to go out.

Once his shirt was on, she flashed him another you're-so-odd-and-cute smile. "No - but I'll help you look?"

She was smiling at him. And it wasn't a I-just-feel-like-smiling-there-are-no-negative-connotations-in-this-at-all smile, either. He frowned. So, what he'd said was stupid and she'd obviously thought so too. He made a mental note to perhaps just shut up for the rest of the night, like he usually did. After all, he said he'd come out, not that he'd chat.

"Yeah, that would be great," he replied, as he checked inside the pockets of his jacket - although, he never put his wallet there, but you could never assume in cases like these.
