Matt basically jumped and ran off the bus, bidding Jenna goodbye for the night. He made a beeline for the dorm, speeding down the hall and waiting for Forrest in the doorway. The other students who went on the trip were taking their time coming into the building and it was killing him slowly that he couldn't see Forrest's face.

Then, like a vision, Forrest's head appeared in the crowd. He waited not so patiently for him to get closer. "Dude, we need to talk. Right. Now." he said through gritted teeth, looking down the hall before pulling his roommate into their room and closing the door behind them.

"Woah, woah. Dude. Just...chill," he said slowly, sitting himself down on his bed. Matt was being extremely antsy, and it wasn't good. Forrest could feel his karma just--man, he was being a downer. "One step at a time, man."

Maybe a trip to see Brie after this would be good...put him back in a zen mode. He took his glasses off and rubbed at his eyes. "What's got you all whacked up?"

For a second, Matt listened at the door. All signs of life were gone and the normal silence of the hall resumed. "So, you know how a bunch of us went out to the club?" He started pacing back and forth, not even answering for Forrest's answer. "So we're dancing and everything is great. A few people got a little drunk...including Jenna." He looked at Forrest and sat down on his bed.

"She got a little too tipsy, so I offered to take her back to the hotel. We get to the door and she lays one on me. Right on the lips." He buried his head in his hands. "And...ugh, dude, I kissed her back."

Forrest listened carefully, trying his best to pay attention to what Matt was saying. Woah, woah. He kissed Jenna? And..."Oh. Well...I mean, she's not a horrible girl, is she? And--well, nothing else happened, right?" He was trying to see why this was so horrible. Unless...Matt wasn't finally with Chase, was he? Because that could be problematic, but if he wasn't and everything...was it so bad that he kissed Jenna? Hrm. Forrest would have to think on this one.

"No, nothing else happened. But...what if Chase finds out and thinks I'm some sort of creepy guy ho goes around mackin' on drunk girls all the time or something?" He didn't even want to think about her ever finding out. Not that they were a couple in the least, they barely spoke, but still. He didn't want her to know. "And Jenna's great. It was just like...she was there and she was wearing this little teensy dress and...I wasn't thinking and...ugh."

"Well...I don't think Chase would think that..." Forrest said slowly. Well, at least he didn't think that. "It happened once. If she assumes that you do this all the time then...well, dude, she's not worth it. She should, you know, realize that accidents happen. And this was an accident, at least that's the way you feel about it. If Chase doesn't see that, then...then she's blind as a bat, dude." Forrest felt pathetic at giving advice, but he didn't know what else to say. In his eyes, things happened and at the end of the day if you're not with someone it's not your place to judge. It was that whole 'don't hate, create' philosophical idea. What you were creating in this situation, he wasn't sure, but...no hate! It was that simple.
