"And here's the woman of the hour!" Angelina said with a grin as she approached Alicia. "What do you think, love? It's not too much, is it?" She smiled at all of their friends that had gathered for the surprise. In Angelina's mind, the best way to make Tim really pay for doing what he'd done to Ali over the years was making sure that he knew that Ali was better off without him. And that was best accomplished by celebrating the couple's separation.

"Drink up, love," Angelina said as she handed a glass of something to Alicia. "I've told the barman to keep the drinks coming because I'm picking the tab up later."

	Ali took the glass without a pause, and took a looooooong eager drink from it, giggling and just feeling completely happy and overwhelmed. A good overwhelmed. Awed, she said, "So this is what freedom feels like, huh?" (Reply to this) (Thread)

"Absolutely," Angelina instantly answered with a smile. "Don't know how you could ever give all of this up, but I don't mind letting you back into the club if you want to." Angelina winked.

Of course she was glad that Ali had Tommy, he was wonderful, but Angelina was glad to have her friend back. "How did Oliver manage to get you here tonight?" Angelina asked before she finished off another drink.

It didn't take long for Ali to finish her drink and wave for another. At Angelina's question, Alicia laughed, shaking her head. "He told me it was a press junket. Which? Actually caused me to have a minor freak out because I didn't have any junket scheduled for him and couldn't believe he'd just forget to tell me about it."

Then, she blushed a bit. "I think I lectured him for about an hour about how could he expect me to do my job if he didn't tell me these things in advance. Course, now I'm going to have to apologise to the prat," she added, fondly.

"Don't apologize," Angelina said, shaking her head before the tossed back another shot. "It'll just make him feel even more superior, and give him a reason to gloat. No way in hell that I want that attitude wandering about at this party, especially if he gets drunk." She smiled when she finished her speech, but there was some truth in her words. Oliver had a temper that rivaled her own.

"I know that work tends to make you happy, but this has got to be more enjoyable than some shite with the press," she said as she rolled her eyes. "And if it's not, don't tell me. It'll just throw me into a fit of depression," Angelina added with a laugh.

"Then we'll go out sometime soon," Angelina promised with a smile. "I can't be focusing all of my attentions on Oliver, after all. I think that the men in the clubs and pubs and whatnot have gotten better," Angelina said with a wink. "That, or my standards have seriously been lowered," she added with a laugh. "Either way, it's time for you to party with the adults for a bit."

"Did we get the right sitter for Tommy tonight?" Angelina asked, lowering her drink from her lips for the first time that evening. "I know I had your girl's name somewhere about my kitchen, but you know that I can hardly find anything in that cruddy little flat."

"We always save the best for last, love," Angelina said with a smile as she wrapped her arms around Alicia and pulled her in for a hug.

"It just matters that you finally got the message," she said with a smile as she clinked her now empty glass against Ali's.

"I don't know about you, love, but I see a fit blond over there who's just begging to be danced with. Do I need to go over there, or are you going to help him out?" Angelina asked as she glanced down the bar to the stranger who was currently smiling at them. She was relatively sure that she hadn't invited him tonight, but that hardly mattered.

	"Does that mean you've had recent practice with the ladies then?" Angelina asked with a giggle. "Get to it, that," Angelina said as she took another look at the man, "Is why I will always stay single. You're allowed to do this now, freedom and all. "Oi, are we back in third year?" Angelina asked.

"You know that I'm likely to embarrass the hell out of you, but I'm assuming that you've already acknowledged that and are willing to have me over there with you anyway," Angelina said. Her logic was a bit muddled, but she had been putting the drinks away rather quickly.

"So then, we're off." Angelina passed Alicia another glass of liquid courage before linking their arms together and strolling down the bar so that she could introduce Ali to that fine specimen of a man.

It did feel a bit like third year all over again. Alicia wasn't necessarily the wall flower she had been, but she'd been off the market for so long that she wasn't sure she wouldn't make a complete and utter arse of herself, especially since she'd been hitting the margaritas a bit hard. But, she made it over to the bloke, chatted, even blushed when Angelina made good on her promise to embarrass her, but she eventually asked the bloke to dance and once she let go, she had a brilliant time.

It did catch her by surprise when the bloke handed her his floo address, even though she shouldn't have been. After a few dances and a lot of laughs and fun, she managed back to the bar and Angelina, completely flushed and breathless. "I need another drink. 'Round 'em up, barkeep!"

Angelina leaned back against the bar, glad that Alicia was finally loosening back up. Ali was a good mother, she did everything that she could for Tommy, so Angelina was glad to see her finally doing something for herself.

"You wild woman, dancing out there like that and then heading straight back to the bar," Angelina teased, shaking her head. "It's good to have my Ali back," she said seriously with a smile.
