Who: Adam and Diana What: A hopeful act of healing When: Thursday morning (4/12), after receiving this Where: Diana's room Rating: Mid to high for probable mentions/allusions to violence
As weary as Adam was to trust the girl, he partly felt like he didn't have a choice. If they were home they could have taken Diana to the hospital and got her proper care, antibiotics, a transfusion, whatever she might need. Here they were fending for themselves and having to hope for the best. The whole 'a wing and a prayer' philosophy didn't really work for him. Not when Diana's life was at stake.
Finding the decorative vial of blood in his room that morning only drove home the reality of the situation. Vampires were real. One had viciously attacked Diana, and now another was giving him blood to hopefully heal her. Well, heal her physically. Adam wasn't naive, he knew it was no miracle cure to make everything better. Those didn't exist, in any world.
He returned to Diana's room with the vial in his pocket and was glad to be able to avoid her roommates. As it was, he was increasingly starting to think perhaps they should see if the Circle could split two suites between them for safety's sake, but he wasn't so sure that would go over well with everyone. The door to her room was shut behind him, as much for security as for privacy, and he walked over to the chair that had been pulled next to her bed where Adam had been spending most of his time since he'd found her.
"Hey Di, I'm back." He spoke quietly as he sat, one of his hands quick to find hers and give a gentle squeeze. It was tough to say if she looked worse or better; on one hand, most of the blood had been cleaned away, but on the other she was looking pretty pale from the blood loss. "I've got something to try and make you better."
