[Kyoumi had made a lot of work for herself]

[one might think that the bodies, in various states of dying or unconsciousness, had taken a lot of work to put there, but they hadn't. Just a crowd of herbivores. Moving them was going to take work.]

[She nudged one idly with her foot, and the man groaned. She hadn't even broken a sweat, though she'd collected a couple small bruises and cuts. And a bullet, a clean shot straight through the meat of her shoulder.]

[she wasn't very concerned, still assessing the damage of the melee on the shop. It would have to be cleaned, very thoroughly, but she could hire a service for that at least]

[the tea house is small and dark but scrupulously clean, and mysteriously quiet despite the traffic outside]

[just out doing his routine late night shopping rounds of things he's running low on--meaning mint gum and bullets, mostly. He likes the city better at night anyway, and he's more at home being able to carry his sword relatively unconcealed thanks to the shadows doing most of the job for him]
