As if it's not bad enough that everyone I know has at least one doppelganger here and a large portion of the population has seen my life and all of my secrets on television My friends and I are on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. I am so glad that our lives are apparently so entertaining. That was fun to see on the table at Starbucks.

I'll likely just shoot an email to SHIELD administrators but does anyone know if we can enroll in an actual high school rather than taking the classes offered here?

I've compiled and copied a report regarding startin a non-profit organization and advocacy group. The key points are outlined in the front and explored more thoroughly in the following pages and the document also includes suggested mission statements and by-laws for your consideration in accordance with the state of New York. You will need to elect a board of directors, select an official name to file with the New York Secretary of State and ... actually, I'll just give you a copy of this report or else I'll end up typing up the ridiculously long document here with far less user-friendliness than the tabbed and color-coded report possesses. I'm not sure when you are meeting, but I've gathered the necessary forms to file for your business, as well, so that you can use the meeting to complete them to save from having to use another meeting at a later date for that purpose.

I know it's late, but there's a 10:15 showing of Les Miserables at the City Cinema, and I was wondering if anyone would like to go with me? I'm trying to watch all the movies up for best picture before the Oscars, and I'd rather not ride the subway by myself this late at night. If not it's okay! I can finish some of these job applications.

I realize that this is short notice and you can totally say no because it's a bit rude of me to ask without giving you a proper period of time, no hard feelings whatsoever, but I was wondering if you were interested in seeing Zero Dark Thirty?

So, I've been here for like...almost four months now.

And sure, I get that people are totally jealous, but it's getting old to have people not like me. Like. Really. Why don't people like me?

Veronica and I have been thinking that we, as refugees, ought to be better represented and better organized in looking out for each other while we're here in this universe. So I've decided to form an advocacy group, made up of refugees (with the potential of adding non-refugees who are willing to help) that are willing to work together to provide support, assistance, and a political voice for everyone who comes through the tesseract.

I have a few main projects in mind to begin with: first, to set up a volunteer-run hotline (which, best case scenario, could be automatically programmed into the phones that we all carry around) for anyone to call when they're lost, hurt, or feeling threatened/harassed by anyone, regardless of whether it's related to your status as a refugee or a public fictional figure. It would require a decent number of volunteers to be on call for support and back-up. Basically, you'd just need to be motivated to help people and willing to be on-call at least a few hours a week to begin with. Depending on how many people were interested, it could potentially be even less of a time commitment, but anyone will always be welcome to take more shifts if they felt like it. I'm thinking we'd work in pairs or groups to locate and assist anyone who calls in and make sure that they get medical or legal help, if needed.

Second, I think we could stand to put an effort into making ourselves more of a positive presence here. Get the information out that we're not here by choice, that we're not trying to upset the natural balance of this universe or take it away from anyone, that we're really just trying to get along until such time as the tesseract chooses to take us back again. Doing some volunteer work and community outreach would be good, maybe passing out pamphlets or buttons to those in the community that are a bit warmer towards us, and so on. Anyone who's up for organizing or brainstorming ideas that could be good for our public image, please let me know.

Lastly, I'm also taking volunteers for a think tank on coming up with a name for the group and drawing up a charter that can be used to explain what we stand for, and so on. My ideas for names so far are either amusing or accurate, but not both. It'd be great to have some people on board who have experience with non-profits, advocacy groups, and the like; lawyers and law enforcement types certainly couldn't hurt, either. But this is open to anyone who's interested.

All that said-- whether you read that all the way through or skimmed to the bottom-- Happy Valentine's Day, everyone.

I found a pair of boys marking up the side of the building this morning and convinced them to stop. Unfortunately, they ran before I could similarly convince them to clean up what they had done. How does one remove air paint from a wall?

Has anyone seen the graffiti on the outside of the building? What do they mean by that?

Wonderful, Spencer. You've officially gone certifiably insane. That will look fantastic on your college applications. Though I'm not sure if acknowledging that I am clearly delusional negates the possibility that I actually am or not. Huh. It wouldn't hurt to look into it. It seems like I'm stuck here indefinitely, anyway.

Hello, everyone. My name is Virginia Potts. I'm better known as (and answer to) the moniker that Tony gave me many years ago, Pepper.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Refugee Network. Tony Stark - as well as many others - created the network so you would have a safe space to talk without the prying eyes of the media. I'd like to give them a warm thank you for their hard work.

Some of you have been here for a while, and as of today, the Tesseract has given us more refugees than it has in the previous five months, and it's still going. I'd like to take a moment to thank the hard-working men and women of S.H.I.E.L.D. for their diligence and perseverance. Without their quick thinking when refugees began to appear, this would have been nearly impossible for any one of us to handle.

And on that note, Director Fury has asked me to pass along the message that they are in dire need for Administrative Staff to help with processing. Anyone who is interested can pass on a note to your Housing Assistant.

Speaking of, there should be one Housing Assistant per two floors (and in one case, three floors). Should you require any assistance, they should be able to help you. Potts Tower is not a new building, but we have gutted it, given it an ARC reactor for clean energy, a full service gym in the basement, an outdoor patio and pool area, and an entertainment area. We plan to utilize all of these areas in the upcoming holiday season in the hopes that it helps alleviate some of the melancholy of being without your families.
