Seems we are headed out of town for a bit.

We've a hit on a target in Ghana, and we're to suit up in time to get information.

Finally, some decorations worth celebrating: Invader knows which Ninja Turtle is the best Ninja Turtle. (Can there be any argument? There cannot.)

He is, appropriately, happily ensconced over Artichoke Basille's on 10th Av. His lesser friends appear to be scattered in as-yet unknown (to me) locations across the city, but they don't get any pizza.

Yesterday, I purchaed a curious antique at Widdershins, an beautifully carved green man sculpture. It reminded me of my days in Hertfordshire. The church my family attended had simularly ornate stonework. At 25% off, it was too tempting not to pass.

I must say, that I continue to be deeply concerned about the state of my country. How can I not? The ruddy Nazis continue to blockcade Britain with their battleships and submarines. Not only food, but clothing is being rationed. At least, there hasn't been any air raids since May, but it's little consoluation with so many dead and wounded, more homeless. Prime Minister Churchill's requests for aide from the United States is being debated and only needs your president's approval. If there was only more that could be done.

Sometimes it's hard to believe how far the world's come since the last science fair I went to. Even in just the last few years it seems the world's jumped forward a few paces. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what this year has to offer.

I have a question. How come the entire world goes Italian surrealist horror film and the oil painting of Viktor Zlakob looks the exact damn same?

More importantly. People in the tower. We need to organize. It looks like the Dungeons and Dragons group is selling magical potions and idk patrolling the halls? What floors? Are there other groups, and do we think random patroling or targetted rescue?

We've got clinic folk down in the clinic is that good or do we need a more central one? Like 13th floor? Who can't protect themselves?

What resources do we have. Spare weapons caches? Anyone who ordered excessive amounts of pizza last night that we can distribute?

This shit's usually not permanent. But it's pretty damn real from my encounter just a bit ago.

With the departure of Captain Jack Harkness, his establishment, 'The Hub', has passed ownership to myself. While keeping with the 1940's era tea room theme, I've taken it upon myself to create a new menu, hire a handful of trustful employees to run the day to day business, and redecorate, keeping most of Captain Harkness' original photographs upon the walls. To help drum up business, I thought to hold a dance with live music, but I would be interested to know what people thought.

Well it looks like you're in charge. I'm not sure how well your Peggy was at taking orders.

I spent a fair amount of time in this city after the war. And quite a lot of it has changed, such being the forward motion of progress.

But there's a indestructible spirit that never disappears. While tempers might be flared, wounds haven't healed, that spirit's still there.

It's a calming thing to think about, really.

Well, with any luck this means it'll be a while before the Tesseract does something else. I hope everyone came out of this alright -- if you need anything, feel free to let me know.

Alright, team. We had a rough day, I can't lie about that. I won't pretend this is my area of expertise -- HYDRA getting into human experimentation is one thing, but to me, clones mean they were planning something bigger. They might even still be, beyond just this one base. I don't think any of us were prepared for what happened. With Stark down [...] We took a hit today. Everyone take the time to rest up for now. We'll discuss what we know tomorrow, and figure out the next step from there.
