The Doorway: a panfandom game

Is it just me or is it unbearably hot in the city right now? I've got about four cooling charms going on all at once in my flat.

Also, I'm not used to carrying a gun. I said I didn't need it -- my wand is enough -- but it's NYPD regulations, I guess.

Finally, is it a staple of every reality to have a mass-murdering madman show up and show off like this? I already lived through that once in my lifetime, thank you very much, and that's enough.

In case you missed it, Hermione and I went camping. One of my more brilliant ideas, if I do say so. It was nice and peaceful and just what we both needed. We're back now, obviously. It's kind of odd hearing all these city noises after so many days of peace and quiet.

Off to the deli. Come by and get a sandwich, yeah? They're really tasty and my day will go quicker if we're busy.

I'm officially nineteen today.

I really wonder what makes the tesseract act so capriciously. It brings people here and takes them away from loved ones with no regard to how either party will get on without the others. It's cruel, though of course when it's a sentient alien being, there is little SHIELD can do but keep processing arrivals and departures, but it still makes one think.

The 13th floor is being taken over by the Weasleys. Ginny and I are about done making enough food to feed a small army. If you want some food and good family fun or just want to be mothered for a bit come on down. There's no reason anyone should go without a bit of fussing if that's what they need and I've been told I'm the ultimate fussy Mum. Bring whatever you'd like to share. There will be enough of us to have a lot of different things going on.

All my Mother's Day rituals are sort of moot here. I got started on my lemon meringue and then threw it all in the trash. It's not salvageable. It's really glaring here, so I'm not even going to bother. And my mom is this famous celebrity here who's still alive. As I said. Glaring.

I'm not sure I know what to do here. Shed labels? Become my labels? Get my picture taken in the subway at 3 AM while all you're really trying to do sleep some until you get to your stop and then hearing that it couldn't be Kurt Hummel because he'd be in bed by now? (Yes, I saw that on twitter - RUDE) Get pointed out by tourists at the drop of a hat and try to plaster on a fake smile so that they can take a picture with you? Unwittingly come back to your home in Williamsburg when you're too tired to think straight? Wait until December so that I can finally do my auditions for my shortlist of schools? Stare at my coffee all day and glare at dust bunnies? Celebrate my nineteenth birthday twice over? Get told off at the drop of a hat because you don't like my show? Lead a second life you're not even going to remember when you go back?

So sorry I'm not giggling and sashaying away. I'm not in the mood.

I'm going back to bed. Way too early. But happy Mother's Day to those who celebrate it.

With Kitty's help I've just set up a Home Economics class for anyone who would like to take it. I realize it's a little late in the year so the first set of students will be getting mostly cooking lessons. Once the next semester starts however I'll be going into more than just cooking and baking. I'll be going into nutrition, child development, consumer economics, household management, sewing, interior design and end with some family relationship talks as well. It's a great class for men or women who want to have a big family one day or even for people who just want to learn how to do more things around the house themselves.

Yes, everyone will be required to call me Mrs. Weasley even if my husband isn't here. I'm still a married woman!

Hello everyone, I'm here with a few ESD updates!

We are looking for a new advisor, since Leia has been sent back. Please e-mail me with your resume and interest. For now, advisees of Leia can check in with me.

Like most schools our official year will end in June for those of you who have been here the whole semester. So you get a real summer. Those of you who started halfway through can chat with me about catching you up. That doesn't mean the classes stop being offered over the summer. People are free to still sign up and talk to their teachers about it, they're basically electives over that time, and it'll be there in case any new students come in through the Tesseract. There are a few students who will be 'graduating' and I have the tests for you to pass in order to get your diploma. I'll be happy to write anyone recommendations if they want to move on. Any newcomers who are trying to adjust to the modern times, we have classes that will help you adjust to the current world and the technology.

Prom is May 18th, we're getting there! Food and beverages will be served, and yes, we will have music that is good for modern dancing and a few of us ballroom people to enjoy. All ages are invited.

EDIT: The finals for this semester as the last week of May, please check with your teachers for the days. The first week of June everyone can get their grades and have a last lesson or two with their teachers. The summer semester starts June 17th.
