Look, no one likes when I get sentimental so I'll make this as quick as possible. Hanging out with you guys wasn't just because I was dating Nico. If you want to continue to train with us on Sundays I'd be honored to have you. If you ever want to talk or hang out I'd like that as well. Nico might be gone, but I still consider all of you my friends. Just putting that out there.

I confess it is an oddity to find myself once again in another realm, but I have grown fond of Midgard in all of her forms. It would seem there is another Thor already guarding this realm, and I shall aid him in any manner I am able. However, for those who do not know of me, I am Thor, Son of Odin, Prince of Asgard, Guardian of Midgard.

And I have found my way to a tavern called Sam's, where I have encountered a most agreeable barkeep with the finest selection of ale I have seen across twelve planets. I believe I will enjoy my time here a great deal.

Right, that sucked. I know we're all reeling from whatever the hell that was, but I wanted to say that as always I am proud to be a part of this team. No matter what is thrown at us, we can handle it. No amount of training could have prevented that, and no one is responsible for what they did while they were under that stuff. When some of us are out, the rest of the team has our back. No matter what.

I know quite a few of us are recovering, but I will be there next Sunday and every Sunday after if anyone wants to join me. No rush. It's clearly important that we keep training up since the portal is a dick. Please remember there is no pressure and to take your time until you feel up for it.

When you have a chance, please report in with your status. I understand that there were no casualties, but I'd like to get a sense of who was affected and where you all stand.

In light of this incident, I've requested and received a week of mental health leave. Beginning Monday, I'll be out of the country. While I was physically unharmed, some of the fear-induced memories and nightmares that T individuals close to me suffered have hit a little too close to home. I'll be back on the 9th, but I'll have network and cell phone access in the meantime. If you need anything at all -- advice, support, a virtual game of Monopoly -- please don't hesitate to contact me. I realize there's nothing I can say to make our recent losses make any amount of sense, so I'm just going to say that if any of you want to blow off some steam, I'm available for either talking, having fun, or sparring.

General update: I've gotten a job at Hot Topic (don't laugh) and I'm working on securing a part-time position at Mr. Giles's magic shop. So soon we'll have some more money coming in. I'm nearly done with the plans for our expanded apartment. There's going to be several empty rooms for i when the rest of our team joins. Would you prefer a cinema or a pool table?

Chase and I learned more about the Arena. Things aren't entirely clear right now, but apparently I die and my magic goes a little crazy and then I come back with some augmented powers and manage to kill stop Apex and Deathlocket. It's a little scary Chase and I are working together to get everyone out of there and return home. We don't know what happens from here, but the immediate danger from Apex is gone, at least.

Humberto and I are now owners of a pair of cowboy boots and that keychain for each.

We have traveled through Pennsylvania, Virginia, Tennessee and Arkansas to get to Dallas. It is possible to have gotten here sooner than we had but Humberto doesn't like the idea of blood clots so we had plenty of stops.

Also, he did not go careening off the motorcycle at any point. I would have caught him in time anyway.

Hey guys and gals! So my girl's birthday came and went and I was just too busy to really even think about doing this, but, you guys up for a surprise party for her sometime next week? She totally won't expect it at all. I figure we can take up a little space at Central Park or something, the last thing she wants is to be cooped up in the apartment. Everyone can enjoy the outdoors, we can play paint twister, cornhole, and other stuff. She just really likes being outside and she totally loves her family, so bringing the two together is awesome. Stopped a purse snatcher a little bit ago…thought about walking away with the purse myself after the way the lady got snappy with me. I’m not part of the PD; it was not my job to stop him and people need to learn how to be a little grateful. That’s the problem with the privileged in this country though, everything is expected to be done for them or handed to them. I bet she didn’t even realize the rings that were busted just over the week, all those children found…bet she didn’t give a damn about them.

Damn. I should have kept her purse.

The right thing is always to return items though or at least turn them in. Even to sour, middle-aged, entitled schmucks. Oh, I should have turned it in to the lost and found! Ugh. Oh well, what’s done is done.
