The Doorway: a panfandom game

Greetings everyone,


My name is Steve Rogers. Some of you may know various versions of myself who have been here for some time now. Others of you, as I understand it, may have some memory of previous visits I have made here. I would like to take the opportunity, here and now, to extend an open invitation to any of you whom I have known and apologize for my lack of memory. If you would be interested in getting reacquainted, I would be more than happy to try and schedule a time that would work for both of us to work this out.

To those of you I have not yet met, or who I do not have pasts with, please do not feel this should detract you in any way from reaching out to me here. I would be interested in meeting any of you, especially considering it seems we'll be living side by side for the foreseeable future. So I'm in a different body and I need to switch over my security access to this one until this is all over and done with. I guess he's an okay guy but I don't know him from Joe and I need to get into the system at some point today.

You know what's nice? It's nice seeing people at work again. And it's really nice seeing people out doing things, and not looking like death. Some of you guys scared me, going into comas. So I made some colcannon and got the stuff for reuben's for supper tonight. Anyone's welcome.

The Daytona 500 is this Sunday, so anyone who likes racing or wants to see what it's all about should stop by my place about noon or so. I'll have food and a few cases of beer. I'm thinking about braving this stupid-ass cold weather and grilling out some hamburgers and I make them Alton Brown style so they're always good.

Hey so the Super Bowl's this Sunday and I usually go to a bar about two blocks from my house but they closed at the beginning of the year, so now I don't have a place to watch the big game with all of my buddies. And I thought that the Thanksgiving thing was pretty fun so I thought I'd have some people over. So if you you want to see the game and have some pretty decent food, stop by it should be a pretty good time.

I won't tell you that you shouldn't wear a Seahawks jersey but you are in New York, so you might be safer not to.

Last night Potts Tower was vandalized, with something about if it's glowing then you know. We're working on getting it cleaned off, but if you or someone you know saw something at all yesterday evening, let me or Alex Vause know about it. We're working on getting some stills from the security footage, and as soon as we have those we'll release them. Until then any information that we get will be really helpful. Thanks.

I'm not smart like some of you so I don't knwo how to delete this shit, but I know it's water. I think I'm gonna take a couple of days away from this place.

Stark Industries is now hiring security personnel for a few full-time positions. Training will be provided where needed, and each applicant has to go through a background check. Applications can be made in-person or online, and interviews will start the first of December. Stark Industries doesn't discriminate, so anyone is welcome to apply.

There are a few people coming to my place on Thanksgiving, I'm gonna provide the turkey and probably a ham because my mom's family always did ham and it's nice to have a ham sandwich later in the day instead of just turkey. And the dressing. I'm going to do the dressing. Anyway, anyone who's coming needs to bring a side dish or a dessert. Just let me know what you're bringing because someone's gotta do the potatoes and the gravy.

And anyone's welcome. Just gotta let me know by Tuesday or so, so I can make sure I get enough turkey.

I want to deep fry a turkey for Thanksgiving this year. It doesn't look to hard. So I guess if anyone wants to come over for deep fried turkey, you can. I just can't do anything else because it's not spaghetti.

Hearing quite the story from Michael Westen about an apartment on the tenth floor of Potts Tower. Tony, does the security system out there keep track of if an unauthorized person gets into an apartment using a keycard? Pepper, he said that he heard a kid crying yesterday and that nothing was found? Would you okay me installing a surveillance camera in there, just until we get this cleared up?

He mentioned supernatural shit. We got anyone who could go in there and see if any ghosts have taken up residence? After all this stuff we've dealt with I can't even rule that out anymore.

Hey kids, just because I'm head of security at Stark Industries doesn't mean I know what the big guy is doing. Cool it on the phone calls to me. I got better things to do, like make sure the people in the building are safe from nut jobs like the Bugle who think it's okay to send a random reporter here. Because yeah. I just let anyone roam around the place.

I don't like going to Central Park anymore. That crazy preacher is always there. Last week he tried to tell me that I'm going to hell because I work for Stark Industries and he thinks Tony's the devil. I was tempted to talk about Cthulhu but I still get the heebie-jeebies when I think about it so I just ran away. I was running anyway, so it wasn't like I looked like an idiot running away in like my suit or whatever.

It's nice to see that the world didn't end after all.

For a month with so few holidays, August is hard on my whiskey repository. Maybe sake would be more If anyone needs me, I'll be up to my eyeballs in Scotch until August 16. At which time I may need to be poured into the shower and fed orange juice intravenously.

On the 15th, I'll be turning 97. Fortunately the preceding paragraph should give you some idea what to get me.

I think I might just take the boat out for a spin.
