The Doorway: a panfandom game

Oh man, healing the old-fashioned way is sooooo sloooooooooow. You have no idea how much easier it is just to keep going until, BLAM! You find yourself back at the nearest New-U station with everyone razzing you for getting killed. That's my request for the tesseract - bring me a New-U station. Please. This healing thing is boring as all hell.

Right. I mean, I guess he could probably be up like, aqua-man or like ant-man. But Batman?

But is that a thing here, you all are superheroes. You should fight to settle things. Hulk versus Wolverine, Captain Marvel versus Black Widow.

You could raise loads of funds for the orphans.

So it's been over a year since we had the weird power giving white out thing?

I mean does this mean we're going to have another one? To be fair outside of the aliens wanting to kill everyone the rest of it was pretty cool. Who doesn't love surprise super powers right?

Last year at this time I was sitting in SWORD medical, probably still in a healing trance, who knows. I've been here a year, and that's really weird to think about - for me anyway. But it's been a good year and I don't really know how to say most of the stuff I feel about it, but it felt worth acknowledging.

On a completely different note, why did no one tell me there was a Star Wars ap, and that it would let me do this ? Or this ? Or this ??

Also, tomorrow there's going to be a lot of random Star Wars stuff revealed, apparently. It'll probably be weird. I'm considering a competition to take the weirdness out - like, most realistic likeness, most absurd (if you can beat the Death Star Beach Ball that I saw this summer, then seriously, there will be a prize), that sort of thing. If you know, there's any interest.

Also. I think this whole having been a year here thing is almost as weird as my birthday. Like, it's a year extra from what I would have had. An actual year, not just hitting my next birthday. I don't know - I don't really want to focus on it, but it's sort of hard to not think about if that makes any sense at all.

Shouting at one another all day certainly raises tensions. Then it only takes a small act, something forgettable on your average day, to send tempers flaring. Not my presence, if you're wondering. I asked the anti-Avenger protestors if they would truly be better than us if they were one of two parties to blame for mob violence. And I asked the pro-Avenger protestors to act as they know we would. They went back to their respective corners for now. But it isn't getting better unless something more happens.

Freedom of speech is wonderful, and I support it. But even more, I value making progress on the issues, not simply everyone talking at each other. I've promised to come back and speak with people on each side later.

So fun discovery, Caroline and I are getting married in 2 weeks from tomorrow actually. We've discovered you are all of our guests to the wedding, but cannot remember much else. But it's a bit absurd to have a wedding and not know the guest or the couple.

We're proposing a party on the 13th floor at say 6 pm? It's not as though any of us can remember anything else we're meant to be doing. We'll bring what we have, if anyone else wants to bring a dish or alcohol, we wouldn't say no. :)

People have some interesting conversations on the train... Like there were these two girls sitting near me who were super-excited about the Supreme Court ruling because they felt it meant that now their favourites can get married like in fanfic.

Guess piece of wood to the heart isn't the only way to kill a vampire. And I need to eat a different brain. Cat lady was no help. Anyone up at this hour who can... help calm down people and dust? And the police. I haven't looked around, but I'm pretty sure the vampires succeeded at "harvesting" some of the other guests, and the staff was all vampires, and this wasn't Fangtasia. That was not my idea of a night out.
