Right so, I ain’t sure when we’ll be actually needing this, but I’ve gone and set up an emergency location for the Displaced for whenever shit hits the fan and we can’t go staying here in Tumbleweed. While I’d really like something like those bracelets we all had on the cruise for teleporting everyone no matter where they might be to be around for use, they just ain’t. Hit me up if’n ya think you can make something like that.

I’ve been working to finish adding up housing options and gotten some people to help limit the path of the local fauna that might’ve caused us all some issues if they were allowed to run around everywhere. It runs on solar power and backup generators. Wind power is getting installed soon once I figure out where would be best to go setting it up. There’s a greenhouse that’s already up and running and livestock are getting settled in this week.

[Pretend there's some pictures inserted here for everyone to see.]

So if’n you’re wanting access to it, what you’re gonna need is a portal set up in your house or your place of business (if its Displaced owned). Put your name down here if ya want in and we’ll get ya set up. Just like on the cruise, only the Displaced will be able to head through them there and back.

Hopefully it won't need to be used, but better to have something in place than not.

Poker night. 6pm, my place. [address] Dress to impress.

Okay, so it looks like Loki and crew have gotten everyone's paperwork who came in for their photographs. As far as I know, everyone's documentation is done and if you want to verify, Michael can let you know.

The base itself is as cleaned up as it can be without extensive repairs. Thank you to everyone who volunteered your time. We could not have done this without you, and hopefully, we can find some way to repay you for your help. I also want to thank those who supplied food — particularly Tony Stark and his quick thinking in setting up donations for our fellow Displaced who would have gone hungry waiting for their paperwork.

We're looking to go off the grid, electricity wise, since the Starks are clean energy types who are willing to help there. We also are currently working on a budget for staffing the Resettlement Bureau to make sure that anyone who wants to work there can have funds enough to survive here, to pay for repairs to the facility itself and upgrading the technology inside.

We're going to need different positions to monitor this portal. We have no idea if the locked down door means the portal is dormant. We have no idea what killed the people inside, so that's something I think we should look into. We don't know if it's a person or a thing or multiple people/things. We don't know if it's still around. We don't know if more Displaced are going to show up or how we'll get them out of the portal room if they do show up.

Some people have expressed concern as to why we're not turning this over to the military. Short explanation is: when things come through portals or from the sky, they usually end up in medical labs to be experimented on. They did not trust the Displaced. As I stated in my other post, the whole building has been created with whatever it is they have that makes it so no powers can be used. Now maybe that was to put them on even grounding with us since some of us come through quite hostile. No blame, being ripped from your own world is stressful so I get it. They were right to worry as whatever came out of the portal killed everyone in the base.

Peggy Carter has been working with a budget and several Displaced members who have offered their financial assistance. They are working out the details of what and how this can happen. Ideally, we would like to offer the Displaced positions to help their fellow Displaced (potential, since we don't know if anyone or anything is going to come through that portal). I'm currently looking into digitizing the paper files to free up space here so we can have some redundancy to the paperwork.

The medical area is clean, but we've found vaccines there from the ship. We have confirmed that they are the same vaccine from the ship, thanks to Vivian Vision, who synthesized it on the ship and here. The stock has not gone wrong in any way, but if it's been there for 20 years, I'm not sure how that's possible. Scientists? Is that something that can happen?

Any other questions, I'm happy to answers.

Military base is secure. We've determined there's no contagion. These people, unfortunately, were killed by something. Still unknown. We're digging through digital files, but I'm not that hopeful. 1999's idea of digital video is grainy at best, unwatchable at worst. Especially given that these are security cameras. Could use some help if someone wants to figure out the labeling system they've given these files. There's only one computer so three people in eight hour shifts. Trust me, those 8 hours are going to feel like 48. Bring music to listen to.

The power's back on. What we weren't expecting was that the entire building has a No Powers restriction on it. Electricity's on, no power. Power's off, abilities on. The building itself only vaguely resembles the layout from before. There's less medical facilities — all of it is emergency-related, and a curiously fresh batch of vaccines. Containers look a hell of a lot like the ones we got on the ship. Anyone want to come and test it to make sure it is what it says it is? Medical area has a bunch of pictures from the space pox we gave them in the 1950s as a warning.

There's a dated computer by the one room we can't get into. My guess would say that's the portal room, but why it's on lockdown, I couldn't say. Either the thing that killed them is locked down in there or they didn't want to risk the portal being accessed by the wrong people. No surveillance cameras are working at the moment. All but one of them have been destroyed by claw marks or bite marks. I'm not hopeful this thing didn't get out. Several exits have been compromised.

First things first, thanks Tony for setting up the food fundraiser. Unfortunately, money leads into my second point: we're going to need a lot of money to get this up and running again. We have no idea when any new arrivals might show up, what condition they'll be in, or how to figure out where and how their housing turns up. It's a logistical nightmare.

I woke up this morning with a cat on my face.

In my bed.

In my house that should be at the bottom of the Pacific.

To the soothing voice of J.A.R.V.I.S.

The improbability of each of these facts is staggering, and yet here we are, as if the last four years had never happened. I can live with that. But the cat is another thing entirely.

I couldn't be more delighted to share a residence with Miss Carter in the house Mr Stark gave her. It was rather unexpected to find myself here this morning, but so is everything since the portal collected me. The familiar surroundings make the transition into these very unfamiliar circumstances much easier. Miss Carter's niece, and Miss Martinelli are also living here, and while this may sound unusual, I assure you nothing inappropriate is going on. I am a happily married man.

The pokemon I selected seems to be making her adjustment to Tumbleweed well. Bounsweet It almost sounds French, if you pronounce it just so. Which is why I've named her Fleur. It's appropriate, when you consider she's a flower-type pokemon.

I do wish my wife were here.

While, people are discussing the need to get the paperwork of new arrivals in order, my offer as butler still stands. I was pleased to serve your father, and would be even more so to continue serving you.

post-dated to Monday, April 9th at 9am.

We're back in Tumbleweed, but as some of you may have figured out, the town is completely different than it was the last time we were here. There's an airport now, which my car navigation system pointed out, and it's on the opposite side of town from Fort Neill.

Of course, that's not the most startling or disturbing difference. Fort Neill is a graveyard, and I mean that in the kindest sense of the world. It was locked up when I got there. Got my way in to find a dusty military facility that has not been used in quite some time, and it looks like it didn't happen on purpose.

The military is dead, and I don't mean they cleared out. I mean there is an entire facility full of the skeletal remains of whoever was in there when something happened. That something appears to have been some sort of [...] feeding, possible animal attack. There are definite teeth marks on these bones, and the state of decomposure... it's not new. At least a decade, maybe more so it's not as horrendous as it could be to see.

I have not turned the power on; I don't want to disturb the bodies more than I already have, but I'd like for anyone interested in helping to come down to the facility to move these bodies — telekinesis, magic, or just standard issue gloves — so that we don't taint the bodies with our DNA. We'll have to keep the power off until that happens, and then there should be video monitoring we can check to see what happened, check databases and logs to see if there's any evidence of what might have happened here.

I'm leaving this open so we can discuss what to do. After scrounging around the base, I haven't seen any paperwork or IDs for those of you who arrived on the cruise so that's something we should work on immediately to get people in the system so they can work, get IDs, and whatever else they need. We'll need people who can make IDs and people who can get into the necessary systems for government agencies to make sure the back-end is taken care of in anyone wants to cross state or country lines.

And a warning to some of you who worked at the military before: yes, we knew some of these people if the names on the uniforms check out.

T'Challa's putting out feelers about setting up some kind of council to represent the Displaced's interests. I told him we've had temporary arrangements in the past when things have come up and some people have hesitations about a central authority, and that a lot would depend on what the situation's like when we get back to Tumbleweed. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing what everyone thinks but I'm not making commitments past that, especially on my own. I do see where it could be useful for people to know exactly who they can go to for help with things. To some extent we have that already, and we've shown we have the ability to come together when it is needed, but they've mostly been really obvious threats like attacks where there isn't really a big grey area.

I don't think we can really do much of anything until we're back in Tumbleweed and know whether anything's changed again anyway, but I'm for keeping everyone up to date as a general rule.

I am suddenly concerned about how I lived my entire life without a domestic cat around my house to enjoy the company of. I missed far too much, and will likely be catching up on it all night long because I'm far too entertained to sleep.

I thought the purpose of these things was to battle. Everything I caught is rather pathetic.

I take it you're keeping them?

How's the mission going?

Do you have plans for this port?

Well, I knew one of these days, majority of our jobs would be taken over by robots, but I hadn't expected those to be doctors. Or this soon! I also really hope this is not another version of Framework.

Hello, my name is Jemma. Since I didn't crawl out of a grave this time, I assume I'm not already dead in this universe.

I am only a newcomer on this ship, but I would like to extend my condolences to those who have lost a great deal during that fight. I've never seen so many formidable fighters in one spot, and I am impressed, but I understand the sentiment to wanting to have done more to save that which and whom are lost.

Does a battle like this happen here often?

Where am I?

Is this another-

I didn't mean to-

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I hope I didn't hurt anyone.

[OOC: Thanks to powers being turned on with the power being off, there was a slight tremor when Daisy arrived in the med bay, due to her being yanked into another dimension. Luckily, as she wasn't around when the EMP went off, her gauntlets still work, so she was able to reign it in fast. There is no structural or heavy damage done to the ship. It just would've felt like the ship lurched forward a little bit. There's probably some broken glasses, but no one should've gotten seriously injured or anything like that. But, feel free to have characters react, as it definitely would've been felt.]

Insert preferred vacation destination, comment about alternative afterlife expectations, and complaints about my luggage gone missing.

Priorities first: Where can I get a burger? And then a dossier. I'll try not to get ketchup on it.
