The 2018-2019 school year will be starting on September 4, 2018.
The Ellie Phimister is a charter school in Council 7 serving grades K-12 started. We're staffed by the displaced for the displaced. We offer small class sizes and are capable of accommodating students with non-traditional educational backgrounds, little or missing schooling, or special accommodations. We are understanding of chaos caused by the portal in ways Tumbleweed High in town may not be and are fully prepared to transition our courses to other settings should the portal take us there. Additionally, we have experience working with powered individuals in a school environment and offer training in superpowered control as needed.
We offer a wide variety of coursework at the high school level, adhering to Texas Education Agency guidelines for college preparedness as well as an elementary and young child program for pre-school aged children.
This year we will be extending our young child program and providing an afterschool program in tandem with the FNRB. Our summer survival program will be converted to a more in-depth course.
Sign ups for classes are starting now.
Additionally, we're looking to replace some faculty positions: namely Computer Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Psychology, and in our Elementary school*.
*[OOC Note: Feel free to sign your students up for 6-8 classes. Or people for teaching. If you'd like to add a course, feel free (or ping me) so long as it's quasi-believable.]

I was wondering if you'd like to help me teach the survival course.[Filtered to EPS faculty (updated when people are added)]
Everyone enjoy this week off. We'll open on the 27th to set up classrooms and start on development though we'll try to keep meetings brief enough to get us all out at a decent time.[Filtered to Emma Frost, Rogue, Kitty Pryde]
Does anyone have any questions / concerns?
Emma-- When you get back in town, we should probably talk about this.
