I've decided that the knowledge of my death if I return means that I should explore all paths I refused to allow myself before. I have no people here to lead or protect. If I'm here, there should at least be a point to it, and this is what I've decided.

These Elven robes are of such a fine quality material that I wish to buy several of them to take back with me to the ship. The rental one, while the most beautiful, also has given me pointy ears, which I cannot say I am fond of. I look dreadful.

Oh golly! This is so exciting! I've never been around live humans before and, well, the rest of you crazy kids, too. This is so great, I just know I'm going to learn so much from all of you.

What do you think I should do first? I've been debating between trying a saltine or wearing flip flops. Flip flops! Can you imagine? Me, an eternal celestial being in flip flops? Stating the obvious aside: we've made another jump. Some of you remember (and would like to forget) the Prettiest Star space cruise ship. This one is on water this time. From what I can tell, it's a luxury cruise ship. Most of what I've seen seems familiar to cruise ships on Earth, but who knows so make sure you're careful until we know exactly what we're dealing with.

I didn't know what I was getting into when Sherlock suggested we watch the DVDs of 'The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes'. Admittedly nervous and a little embarrassed at first, I never really expected to actually enjoy the episodes. They were very well produced, and the stories are similar enough to what we experienced in our universe to be recognizable, but the differences were fascinating and even entertaining. The actor who played the lead, Jeremy Brett, has such energy that his portrayal reminded me of my own Sherlock. Especially how sexy he gets when he's working on an investigation. I can't say I like David Burke's mustache, but besides that detail, watching somebody who is supposed to be me in another universe wasn't as disturbing as I thought it would. I'm not sure if I'd ever want to watch the show that actually depicts our lives back home, though. Has anybody here done that before?

The exciting outcome of watching the DVDs is that it's inspired Sherlock to take up detective work again. Since he got here, he'd been working strictly as a lab assistant at the college, while I work as a doctor at the local hospital, which is all and well but nowhere as fulfilling as detective work. Since Christmas, we've already picked up two cases, - frankly ones that Sherlock would've likely dismissed as boring back home, but here received with gusto. And since we're going back on cases, I'll be updating my blog again.

With the land rover that Santa brought me for Christmas, we're looking forward to picking up more cases outside of Tumbleweed.

Oh, hey there. Ignore the post I made last week. I was out of my head. Or at least more out of my head than normal. I'm doing better now.

Who broke the weather?

You may or may not have been aware that there was a bit of an incident concerning the Doctor some of you refer to as "Eyebrows." Some time ago, a neural block was used to alter his memory. Recently, the block began to fail, corrupting his memory in a general way to the point that drastic measures were necessary.

You will be pleased to know that Charles Xavier was able to remove the neural block entirely from the Doctor's mind. He has been placed in a healing coma in the Zero Room of his TARDIS, so we won't know how he's fared until after he awakens. But the Doctor wouldn't dare be anything other than alright if he knows what's good for him.

So. I hear there is a big old gathering tonight. And by hear, of course, I mean I saw all the hubbub of chatter about it. Suspect there'll be plenty of Harry Styles playing this evening? He was big in 2017, was he not? Or is this going to be more of a classical scene?

Oh. Suspect I should introduce myself as well. Right. Hullo. I'm the Doctor. Been here a couple days. Crazy weather you lot have been having. Raining cats and dogs now. Not ideal for a big party but nothing to be done about it, I suppose.

It's that time of year again for marveling at exactly how much Christmas decor can be made with deer antlers. A fucking shitload, if you're wondering, including trees. This should be a good project for a few days even given how relatively few rooms in this house I actually regularly use. Though I do like these snowglobes.
