I definitely am not going to complain about getting a free cruise especially after Santa was really good to a lot of us for Christmas, but I could have done without the portal sickness. I can't tell if I'm still queasy from the sudden arrival here, or if it could be from the ship. I really hope it's not the latter. That would really suck.

But other than that is it weird that I like my Hawaiian shirt?? There's something about tacky clothing that makes things more fun, I think :p I am going to go shopping for a few more outfits though. I have clothes but no bathing suit. :(

This may seem like a happy-go-lucky cruise for the folks that weren't here for the last jump, but I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

From what I can tell, it's a luxury cruise ship. A very happy new year to you, fellow displaced folks. Seeing holidays in different verses never gets old. I have to say, the celebrations here are very similar to the ones from my home verse. Except instead of a ball dropping, we ignite a large sphere of flammable material, usually organic and from local farms, and launch them at a ten-foot flotation device in the middle of the river. Fascinating stuff. Christmas, though, is pretty much the same.

Resolutions, though! Resolutions are worldwide and universal, methinks. I've got a whole list prepared for mine, starting with being more productive with a new business I'm opening up. That's right, after helping out with the West-Allen household and the Manor with their decorations, I've decided my area of expertise lie in -- drumrolls, please -- DESIGN.

That's all I've got, no name yet. I'm sure I can come up with something at some point. That's my next resolution anyway.

Also, B.A., your new abode in this place was lacking a turtle. I got you a turtle. The previous owner had named it Wartortle. Not sure what that means. But you can change it whatever you like.

Okay. I've given myself several weeks to get used to the idea that we now live in Texas -- complete with our loft from Central City which is.. well I don't know how it works but I'm not complaining -- and there's no telling ever if any of us would go back. So, that said, I guess it's time to start job hunting around here!

The hospital is taking sign ups for people to dress up and visit the kid's ward on the 23rd and 24th for Christmas. Claire organised this last year and absolutely nothing weird or implausible happened. It works best if you have a costume, uniform or distinctive outfit that's been seen in a tv show, movie or comic book that's pretty well-known. Books usually aren't visual enough and video games don't get as much advertising so fewer people see them. A good rule of thumb is probably "can I buy a Halloween costume of myself?" (That means you Steve Rogers I don't care if you're not Captain America anymore.)

Hey. So we're doing Friendsgiving on the Saturday after Thanksgiving at casa Bat-fam. (Please check with Dick Grayson about the address, because I realize there are multiple Bat-fam houses.) We're gonna aim for people to start coming over at three. I'll be there earlier to cook, obvs. Feel free to bring a friend or two with you if you want.

Here are the rules: everybody who comes needs to bring something so that there's enough for everybody, whether that's food, drinks, entertainment, etc. You can buy or make stuff, I'm not super picky. It's gonna be a chill atmosphere, so dress however you want. I'm def wearing jeans.

We're gonna have some vegetarian options but plenty of meat. Let me know if you have dietary stuff a cook should know about.

So does anybody watch Star Trek: Discovery? Because I'm trying really hard to figure out whether I like it or not and talking it out always helps with these things. Like the show's definitely not terrible and there are a lot of things I like about it. Like all the pieces are good - the characters, the ship. Not super thrilled about when it's set, but I can deal with it. But the plots are a little... idk. And what they've done to the Klingons, I'm not super into. So half the time I dig it and half the time it's like, show can you chill for just a second?

I mean, the theory of time travel has always been just that, right? A theory? But according to these documents here that's what I've done. And I'm in a completely different universe on top of that.
