Thread: Rogue and Peter WHO: Rogue (movies) & Peter Parker (ASM) WHAT: Touring WHEN: Monday, June 5th, midday WHERE: I don't know. Everywhere ever. WARNINGS: None at the moment. Will update if that changes. STATUS: In progress
Rogue knew what she was doing. Sleeping excessively (although, okay, that was also because she was exhausted; you didn't get very good sleep where she'd been), keeping herself busy with movies, and internet searches, and being chatty (because she generally wasn't one for small talk with people she didn't know), being a bit punchy about those conversations, if she was being perfectly honest (normally, the witty banter was saved for people she knew well). She was putting up a wall so she didn't completely freak out. Not so much about being here, in some portal universe; she'd seen so much worse that she probably should have been happy to be here.
But she was really concerned that if she sat down and gave herself time to think about the last few years with a clear head, a full stomach, and the lack of fear that came from being trapped and not knowing what was coming next she was going to lose it.
So distractions. She was using all of them.
She normally would have been a little wary of accepting an invitation for a tour from a stranger over the internet. But Rogue didn't even consider that wariness for a second, instead jumping at the chance to get out the mansion, which, truthfully, was a bit unsettling to her. It was too bright and airy and cheerful. There wasn't the constant noise that came from someone, somewhere always screaming.
But Rogue wasn't going to think about that. She was pulling down long sleeves, tugging on gloves, even though it was June in Texas and it was likely going to make her look like a lunatic. Assuming she didn't pass out from heat exhaustion.
Eighteen minutes later she was heading out of the mansion.
