~ Displaced Summer Ball ~
Welcome all displaced to the Summer Ball! Your hosts, Rhy Maresh and Alucard Emery, welcome you to the Maresh Palace. Your hosts tonight will be speaking both English and ASL simultaneously when addressing everyone.
The majority of the ball takes place in the Rose Hall, though guests are also welcome to explore the hallways branching off from it. The private bedrooms (Rhy's, Alucard's, and Kell's quarters) are closed off. Guests are welcome to take one of the spare bedrooms at the end of the night if you don't feel up to heading home (or if you just feel like spending the night in a luxurious bedroom).
Rose Hall A massive, grand room constructed of royal marble, which is a pale stone threaded by garnet and gold, crafted by mineral mages for the exclusive use of the crown. The ceiling of this hall is windows, allowing light in; once night falls, there'll be a view of the stars. In lieu of columns, massive urns in parallel lines through the chamber display bouquets of flowers. The following image is only an approximation:
One side of the room has been designated for food and drink, with an open bar at one side (21+ only, because there's a non-displaced bartender, which means even Rhy doesn't get to drink), and catered Moroccan-style food, which is basically the closest approximation to Arnesian food available in Texas.
DRINK: Full, open bar, for 21+ ☀︎ Non-alcoholic, sweet, spiced, minty Arnesian tea ☀︎ Fruit juice ☀︎ Water
DESSERT:
MUSIC: Jazzy, classical, a little old-fashioned, since they are from the year 1820 ;)
Game Room
Just down the hallway from the Rose Hall, one of the sitting rooms has been designated as the Game Room. A few hours into the ball, it will be announced that card games are starting in the Game Room. There will be tables and decks of cards available for anyone to play whatever game they want.
However, the main game played - led by Rhy and Alucard and possibly Kell - will be Sanct, an Arnesian game which has few rules, the most important rule being that new players cannot be taught the rules. You simply have to play the game and learn it as you go, and also make up your own way of playing, which most certainly can include cheating. Half the point of Sanct is the betting -- which for the purposes of the party does not have to be money. Get creative with your bets ;)
