Shaun hadn't been in a good headspace when he was pulled through the vortex. Dr. Glassman had finally pushed Shaun to his 'breaking point' with all the talk of getting a personal aide, even though Shaun had already told him what seemed like a thousand times, he didn't want nor need one. Now he was somewhere completely different, apparently in an alternate universe, even. That, on top of how he already felt, only made him feel worse.
He could go on about his life here exactly the way he'd done it before, that wasn't really an issue. But now he was back to square one. He didn't have a job yet, he was going to have to rebuild his circle of friends from the ground up, and he'd have to rewire his brain once again to learn a new routine that was slightly different than the one he was used to. Shaun sought out the wallet he kept in his pocket, taking note of the various bills he had. He had enough money to buy food to last him until his income was stable again. Looking at the map of the town, he figured the grocery store was close enough to walk to and began heading in that direction. Once he was there, he was mindlessly perusing the aisles, familiarizing himself with the store.
