She smiled ruefully. "Well, we can't exactly get him a puppy or a wolf cub," she jested. "This'll have to do. But the most important thing is the history. Warrior and wolf grow up together, it's a kind of scenario that forges lasting bonds. Just because we're all splitting up doesn't mean there isn't a way for you to fight alongside him in spirit, yes? From what you told me about your adventures with Aurin the Black Fox, you were his first partner. I think it'd be a good gesture to give him something to commemorate the fact."
With everything laid out on the proverbial table, she waited for the verdict. The woman with her might find it childish -- incredibly sentimental and sappy, but if she was in any way apprehensive as to how she was going to take it, there was no sign of it on her face. However, when Bethen asked about the Darkspawn, there was a moment of silence. While it may give an impression of obstinacy on her part to answer it, there was no significant delay in her reply. For the most part, it was as if there was nothing, no question, that Dee Aisli would not respond to.
"I have," she stated simply. "I was seventeen at the time." She nodded to the stall once the line moved forward. "It's quite a story, actually. If you'd like to hear it, I would certainly tell you. You might think me incredibly reckless listening to it, though...but I was much younger then, three years into my field. The mistakes I made at the time have never been repeated, I'm thankful to say."
