Lay on Hands Who: Conlan Delaine and Noah Durand. When: 9:45 Dragon, when Aurin punches the bugger. Where: Vigil's Keep, Interior. Summary: Magic was made to serve man. Healing. Rating: I'm pretty sure it's unneeded.
This part of the Keep was thankfully quiet, and a place where good reading could be accomplished as long as the sunlight kept coming in through the eaves of the interior, a beautiful place where Noah could feel at ease.
The Keep had a good selection of literature, but there were few tomes he had further interest in because this was not a home of magi. It was a place for nobility. He didn't care, though - it was a good way to spend time. It was a good place to keep away from the Wardens. It was a quiet place that let him wonder. What about them was different. What made them better at vanquishing Darkspawn? What made them chosen and others not? Was it selfish to be envious of those mages who had acquired freedom? There was no peace because there was no way he could lie convincingly that nobody ever wanted to be free.
It made him selfish, he believed, to deny other people freedom because he couldn't have it himself. Some would say he had freedom because he was here, and there were plenty of mages who were not. The pressure made him feel old; children did not have to worry about these problems.
