It wasn't hard to believe; Falina didn't know much about demons or abominations, only having heard a few half truths and vague mutterings of things impossible for a dwarf to understand. Anything Bethen offered was helpful, and Falina had to stem the quick flare of disappointment when the mage didn't continue with her explanation. It wasn't polite to press, and no matter how much she was nearly quaking with curiosity, there was no point in alienating Beth.
The mage brightened though; her chuckle was warm and low, and Falina felt herself liking Beth much more when she was relaxed. The history of the Tower was interesting, and Falina felt something akin to pride. She didn't know what an Avvar was, but it seemed important, even more special because they'd worked with the dwarves. "I can imagine." She grinned broadly at Bethen, it either was majestic or absurd, but the way that Beth's face softened certainly indicated the former rather than the latter. "It sounds amazing."
Bethen's self deprecation and sudden uncertainty were surprising. "You aren't boring at all! Believe me, if I thought you were boring, I'd probably tell you." Lectures at the Tower? If Beth was some type of teacher, then Falina envied her students. The woman was polite and kind, and the dwarf imagined there was so much to learn from her. Falina glanced where Beth pointed, nodding slowly. "Well, unless there are actually people between the covers, I doubt that they could really tell me much of anything... but-" She looked at Ordhan, maybe they could read something together? Or they could continue walking. "Thanks for answering my questions."
