A favor? That made Roran's blood run a bit cold. What kind of favor could she possibly want? Roran had this sick feeling that she was about the be caught between her duties and her debts and internally cursed for putting herself in this position. Why couldn't she have just shut up and leave it where she had? Fleetingly, she wondered what her punishment would be if she let Elsa go? Would she be sentenced to death? Or just a good flogging?
Shaking her head lightly, she pushed those thoughts aside and decided to play it as cool as she could. Though, try as she might, it wasn't that cool. She tried to smile a bit warmly at her guest, but it never reached her eyes and so she averted her gaze to the fire, noticing the water in the pot was bubbling slightly. Thank the Maker, she thought to herself as she got up and swung the rod so the pot was out of the fire again. At that same moment, Brynn came back with a second bucket of water. "Water's hot Brynn, would you get it for me? You've got such big strong, man muscles," she joked, giving him an overexaggerated mocking wink.
As Roran laughed silently to herself, Brynn rolled his eyes and set his bucket down next to the fire, taking a thick cloth and picking up the pot from it's hold. Holding it as far from his body as he could, which wasn't really that far, he brushed past Roran on his way to the room she'd motioned towars earlier. When he passed you could tell a significant height difference between the two siblings. Roran was around 24 years old and her brother was 11 years younger than her but he'd already hit puberty so he was nearly a foot taller than her and still growing. His father was tall for a male as well and the family figured he'd gotten his height from Tristan.
Disappearing into the room for a moment, you could hear the sound of warm water being poured into a basin and he quickly reappeared to put the pot back on it's holder and dump the fresh bucket into it. Putting it back over the fire he turned to the girl's again. "One more bucket should do it."
Roran nodded once to let Brynn know he could go ahead and fetch it. She then turned to Elsa and smiled lightly, this time it hit her eyes. "When we get the last bucket heated you can get in. There are towels in there if you need. Do you have a change of clothes? Or would you just rather I wash those for you?" she asked, motioning to the clothing Elsa wore at the moment.
