He protested her claims, but no more than was needed to keep up appearances. With a final amused shake of his head, he readily agreed that it seemed unlikely he had survived this long on his own. Yet, here he was. Alive and mostly whole, and the same could be said for Imenry. He was not the only one of them that did not have his head on straight. They balanced each other, or so he liked to think.
“It would take an army to make me leave, so move over.” He nudged her a bit, and covered a yawn with his other hand. He had nearly forgotten how early he had risen, not to mention how late he had stayed up, until she mentioned sleep. Now he could not help but stretch, even though he was clearly not as exhausted as Imenry was. He planned on stealing a bit of the bed, but if she asked nicely he would grab a patch of the floor. It would not be the worst place he had ever slept, that was certain.
There were still things to do, he knew, not to mention things to say, but they could wait until after a short respite. The break was more than well deserved, not to mention long overdue.
