trees and their uses WHO: Arya Oros, Jill Sorrel WHEN: 24 Molioris, 9:45 Dragon WHERE: The edge of the Brecillian Forest SUMMARY: Arya explains to Jill just what she was doing up in that tree. RATING: E for explanatory?
Once her feet hit solid ground, Arya felt much more at ease. Not that she had anything against the horse or the horse's rider, it was just that she preferred to be standing on good, strong earth. While everyone seemed to be putting themselves back together after the fighting, Arya had stayed around the edges. Several had begun to remove the darkspawn from the area, speaking of a taint that could affect the forest. The elf was pleased to see them attempting to care for their surroundings, rather than leaving the bodies to fester in the open air.
Finding a fallen log, she'd set her quiver and bow down in order to take a seat and try to adjust to what she'd seen. Darkspawn. In Ferelden. She'd not heard any word of such a thing during her short time in Denerim, but it was certainly possible that this was an entirely new development. Of course, her first thoughts were of the Dalish and if the creatures had gotten far enough to harm them. If they'd gotten to her brother (if he was even still alive), if he was in trouble. It made her want to get moving all the faster... But was it safe to be traveling on her own through the forest? After all, if these people hadn't shown up when they had, well, she would still be leaping through the trees until she got so tired that... She didn't want to think on what might have happened. Arya didn't have time to think about the past (though she did often) and instead concentrated on rebraiding her hair, the simple gesture giving her a calm exterior to hide the turmoil in her mind.
