At first the blond girls face was blank, but then a small smile appeared on her lips, making Jill frown before her face smoothed out. There could be all manner of reasons for the elf trying to seem at ease, there was no reason to jump to conclusions. Maybe she was still relaxing after the battle, and not at all prone to shout at humans... Trying to smile in a friendly manner, Jill extended her hand to be shaken. "I'm Jill Sorrel," she said. "I'm glad we did arrive when we did. Well, I would have preferred to be of some more use in the battle, but of course I'm glad I could help you out too. I'm glad you're all right!"
Biting her lip, a thought occurred to her, something she had not really delved deeper into yet - why had the blonde been in that tree to begin with? Was it some foreign, elvish ritual? Could she maybe talk to trees, and had been having a deep discussion with it when the darkspawn attacked? Either way, maybe she shouldn't ask about it, Jill though, distracted by insecurity. But then, if she didn't ask, she would probably never know... Behind her, Salma got frustrated with Jill standing still, and moved slightly to the side, giving the sitting elf an interested look.
"How come you were up in that tree?" she said, a trifle hesitatingly and with a shy note to her voice that most of her present company would be surprised to hear.
