He smiled reflexively at the question, nothing more than a gesture of assurance, before answering. "It's fine. It didn't have the best of days, but it's as good as new now. Honestly."
It took a moment before he realized she'd even approached him, and he offered her only a politely baffled silence before she reached out to him. It'd only been a few days together so far, but that was long enough for Desi to not expect anything but rational practicality from Yonca. Desi let her examine his wrist for herself and found her touch surprisingly pleasant (he'd always assumed it'd be icy cold).
"It seemed like a good idea at the time," he protested half-heartedly--their last darkspawn visit hadn't played host to his most ingenious moments thus far, and Desi could hardly find a way to deny that. "And it did work out, in the end."
