Jill mentioned holding on to something called a "pommel" but Lillie had no idea what she was talking about and to be honest, Jill herself was the easiest thing to hold onto in this case. It took her a moment to try and understand what she was explaining, but she nodded and then murmured her understanding in response. "Yes, I see what you mean."
Everything seemed far different from atop the horse, as if the world wasn't quite as large as it was when she was on her feet. Lillie wondered if that was how most people felt. Did Jill feel that way all the time; as if she was somehow safer when riding across Thedas on Salma instead of trudging about on her own two feet?
She frowned at the idea that it would feel bouncy, and the idea of the horse going faster. Why did it have to go faster? That increased her chances of falling off didn't it? She was perfectly content at this pace, though it didn't register to her mind that Salma might be itching to run a little. Or at least trot. "Not that I have any basis for comparison, but no, you don't seem to be messing this up any. It's very nice of you to offer.."
