The dwarf, Johann, seemed to be in poor shape but if she said she was not injured… well, Lee would take her word for it. For now anyways. Brows furrowing as the other woman continued to speak the mage glanced up to Loïc, face set in stone and eyes concerned. The darkspawn were everywhere, wretched creatures, and Lee was not entirely sure Redcliffe would be able to help this woman or the people hiding at her home. The village was still waiting for the next attack of their own and it seemed unlikely that anyone would be sent out until that rather large issue was taken care of.
Head shaking once in a sharp motion, after all Lee did not know for certain what Redcliffe’s answer would be to this woman’s favor, she took a small breath. Shoulders straightening she nodded once at the dwarf and turned to walk down the pier, stopping where wood met land, and called back. “Come along if you are in such a hurry. We cannot have men for you yesterday if you dawdle today.”
The situation was serious but there was something about the rather rough-and-tumble dwarf that had awakened a side of Lee that she hadn’t seen in ages. It was strangely invigorating, and for the moment the bone-aching tiredness that had been plaguing her since the first attack melted away, but now was not the time to be fooling around. “The head of the militia will be in the village square. If you want the Arl then he and the Warden’s will be at the castle. Sadly, I doubt you will get the chance to kick down any doors.”
Tilting her head back to look at the woman, frown growing as she took in her condition once more, she turned round. Johann was not going to be able to get up to the castle quickly and even when she arrived there would be no guarantee that she would be able to see the Arl with the immediacy she so wanted. Eye rising to meet Loïc’s gaze she jerked her head to the high cliff behind her. “Do you think you could run ahead to the castle for me? Tell them we are coming.”
